Ron,
Hopefully Kristen won't take it personal.

I pretty much think everyone is nuts except for you and me and I'm a little worried about you.:D

wtm442 05-30-2006 08:55 AM

OK, sing along ... some time you feel like a nut, some time you don't
  :p :3DSMILE:  ;) :JEKYLHYDE :D :)

Ron61 05-30-2006 10:00 AM

Gee thanks Warren. You are the first person to say they weren't sure about me. Everyone else is convinced that I am crazy. :JEKYLHYDE

Ron :o

wtm442 05-30-2006 11:22 AM

Ron61 - you are

... crazy like a fox. You just like to pull peoples chains ... and see if they make loud noises as they flush down the toilet of life :p :p :p

Ron61 05-30-2006 11:43 AM

Warren,

Well another nice day but a little on the humid side. I need to be out working but the forecast said possible thunderstorms and showers starting tomorrow and lasting until Saturday. So I will wait to mow the upper lot weeds until I see if it is going to rain any or not. I see a few nice cars running around today. Just got my Hot Rod Magazine and read their big write up about the new Shelby GT-500 Mustang. Darn thing weighs over 3,900 pounds and the convertible is just over 4,000 pounds. And to top that off, the price according to Hot Rod will be in the mid $40K range with dealers getting up to $20K above that. Way out of my price range. For that much I think I would switch to a Corvette.

wtm442 05-30-2006 04:26 PM

Ron - 3900 pounds for a Mustang???? What a pig :p :p

Thats a lot heavier than my 70 Olds 442, and its a boat. :D

The humidity and high temp of 88 ºF yesterday turned into a chilly 60 ºF today. Dug out the jacket and went for another ride. A ride a day keeps the psychiatrist away .....

http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...0/DSCN0593.JPG

Just went food shopping. They had Edy's light ice cream (fantastic) on sale at $1.99 a half gallon. About a month ago, I was on Martha's Vineyard and the same ice cream sold for $8.28 a half gallon. The islands are a BIG rip-off.

At least the green peppers were only $0.99 a pound, so I bought a dozen. Tomorrow will be time for making a big batch of stuffed green peppers. None for Tru, though .... %/ cuz he is certifiably nutso ....

hey,littlecobra 05-30-2006 07:30 PM

my my you boys have been busy today......

Been busy today, doing stuff. #1 son is preparing to do his Eagle project. Getting the paperwork in order, so he can meet with the review board in a few weeks about the project.
Then, fixed a quick dinner, then off to watch #3's softball game. They lost.
now home, and I guess I better get to those dinner dishes. ugh.

Tomorrow we head up to U. North Texas to go to a ceremony for #2. He rec'd 'state recognition' on his ACT as a 7th grader, so he's getting a certificate, etc. Big deal for him, and they treat it like a graduation.
Thursday get my hair 'done' (cut, etc), then have regular stuff. #3 has basketball camp this week, up at school. 9-12. Friday, after camp, we are heading to Mason! whoohoo! Of course we are heading to Dublin for some Dublin Dr. Pepper, and yes, I believe Tru you had one??? Well we all know WHO ISN'T GETTING ONE! :p :p

with all affection,
nutcase :JEKYLHYDE ;)

trularin 05-31-2006 05:40 AM

Best Dr. Pepper I ever had, but I had it with great people.

Warren, you can keep your green peppers, I'll grow my own. :D

I think this is going to be the year of Salsa, jam ( 2 types ), jar chilli ( if we get time ), garlic, pickles, tomatoes and cool storage onions. We are cutting back. :D

Any of you run a garden? What are you planting?

Ron61 05-31-2006 06:08 AM

Warren,

Now that is the funniest rear end I have ever seen on a Cobra. I saw a new 2006 Corvette here yesterday and looked at it. Very nice and the inside seemed to be well done.
Yes, I was astonished at the 3,900 pounds for the Shelby Mustang. I had heard they would be heavy, but that is ridiculous. Throw away the iron block and use an aluminum one. Also get rid of the idea that any so called sports car Ford builds has to seat at least 4 people. And for the prices they are asking I will just pass. If they do build the 7,100 a year like they say, in a couple of years you can buy on for a lot less than $20/$30K above MSRP. I even saw a post that they are actioning off the first chance to buy one of them at some Ford dealers and at that point I think they said the auction was already $20K above MSR.

Time to talk to the Mt. Shasta Goddess. Rain for Texas. ;)

Ron **)

wtm442 05-31-2006 07:28 AM

What is the definition of is?

I guess I'm not getting one, cuz I'm not sure what ONE is? Just call me Bill Clinton.

Tru - I planted green peppers, tomatoes (3 kinds) and cukes. I'm a lazy gardener. :) :)

Hafta go fer anoter ride today cuz the Mt Shasta goddess will tinkle on my area on Thurs thru Sat. Boooooooooooooooooooooo :p

Ron61 05-31-2006 07:41 AM

Warren,

We were supposed to have rain today through Friday and it is really nice here today and now they say possibly no rain at all this week. It must be headed for your area. I knew that all of my pictures of Mt. Shasta would pay off one of these days.

Adams boys turn over in their graves

http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...0/DSCN0672.JPG

If the Mt Shasta goddess ever want to get married to someone ... say Rosie O'Donnell, its legal here in MA. Of course, they would want to get married in the Church of the Presidents in Quincy Square. I'm sure both of the Adams boys (John and John Quincy) are doing cartwheels in their graves in the cellar of the Unitarian Church.

The only city in the US to have 2 president born here, and the location of the first railroad ... and what are we getting lately ... a bunch of _ _ _ _ and _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ (you fill in the blanks).

If you have not guessed it yet, the sign is the churches way of support for all kinds of marriages.

Hey, maybe they will marry me to my Cobra?????

A little screwed up, but its still my home town.

Ron61 05-31-2006 10:25 AM

Warren,

Nice picture and at least the sign is done in a more tasteful manner than they do out here. Won't they let you take the Cobra inside and get a picture of it by the altar?

Ron %/

wtm442 05-31-2006 10:51 AM

The first time they put up the sign, they noticed that the sign maker spelled equality wrong :p :p

As far as the alter goes ... driving up the steps might scratch the side pipes. I took the pic on Sunday .... every week day all the parking places are filled up.

Of course, I have direct access to the Mt Shasta goddess using my little homemade antenna in my back yard.

http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...0/DSCN0262.JPG

Beam me up Scottie :p :p :p

Ron61 05-31-2006 11:11 AM

Now if you could get a picture of your Cobra on top of that antenna, it would be impressive. You do have some nice back grounds for pictures around there. ;)

Ron

Warren drives all over with a camera in his car. Hey! Warren? Are you going to London???
