They must have been cold before. Try putting your computer in the microwave to warm it up before booting up.

Nope - that was not the cause. I give up. My keyboard is haunted.

Okay, time for some pictures. I have been busy.
This is the second deer.
These are the ones Erich and I got on Friday ( a week ago ).
This is what happened after we picked up both the boys.
So, we are having a white thanksgiving, but we have meat in the freezer.
Bless you all!!

Tru,
Great pictures and it looks as if you did well. Warren will enjoy seeing the snow as it will prepare him for the shock of what he has coming.

Warren,
Where is the thread that Computerworks put the link to the test section? I want to try something and I remember seeing it the other day and thinking I wish it was back on the Forum list.
As for the smiles, I just click on the ones on the right unless I want to use something that isn't there.
Edit: Never mind, I found where he posted the link.

Great timing Tru - that stuff looked cold out there. That should give you some
venison for a while.
Cloudy and rainy here down to low seventies, seems colder.
You have to go to Molokai to find deer here. Those guys aren't nearly as large
and bark. Down in Kalaupapa where I have worked off and on they were
getting bold and in the settlement and you would see them frequently.

Fred,
Thanks, I had found it but forgot what it was I wanted to try. It was over in the Contributing Members Forum. I guess I am going to have to add it to my favorites so I can go to them when I want to try something.

Nice looking pics Tru. I'm still eating turkey and ham. I bagged a big one Thursday. Best part was that it was already cleaned and cooked.
Just waiting for some carrots to cook, so I thought I'd jump on.
Cold day today, but at least it did not snow.
Worked on my gallery. Brought the number of pics from 844 to 577 by deleting most of the junk pics, but I'm still 50 MB over the new limit.
Fred - new toilet seat is on. No breaks. You can send over the Humpin' Ho Sisters now for a visit. I just rolled all my spare change and I've got plenty of quarters.

Warren, that is a lot of pics. I do not have the time.
We are hoping to make it all the way to summer on the three deer we got.
I am not sure I would want to hunt deer in the islands -- too expensive. But, thanks for thinking about it.
Ron, I am not sure I know what you are attempting, but you lured Fred into it.
Well, I am going to stoke the fires and sit back.

ok... i don't really get this photo limit thing. I haven't tried to upload any pics since the new software has been implemented. Am I not going to be able to??
If there is a limit already, wouldn't it delete the pics i already have to get to the right space??
i don't get it.

Kristen,
Yes, there is a limit now and no it doesn't delete any pictures that were already in the gallery. Check and see if you are over the limit, I am sure that you are based just on the ones that I have looked at, and then decide if you want to delete a bunch to get back to the new limit or below it so you can load newer pictures. You can find out how much you have left or how much you are above by going to the Load Picture page and it will tell you how many bytes you have loaded. If you still have any space, there will be a sort of graph near the top and any green means that you have that much space left.
Edit to add picture. Here is a picture of my Image Upload Page:

As I understand it, as a contributing member, you can have a total of 50 MB worth of pics in your gallery. If you have more than that now, you will not be able to upload any more pictures. The site will NOT automatically delete any pics if you are over the limit.
You are in the same boat as me. When the limit was implemented, I had 156 MB of pics. That is 3 times the limit. I've deleted almost 300 pics (844 to 577), but still have 114 MB worth of pics. I wanted to see if I could "easily" get down to the limit.
You can do nothing regarding your gallery. But if you want to post any more pics on the site, you will have to store any new pics on one or more of the picture sites such as PhotoBucket, Flickr, Webshots, Shutterfly, Freeweb, Kodak, MySpace on MSN, etc.
My problem is that there was never any storage limit since I joined. All of my pics are in the range of 150 to 200 kb. If I want to keep the photos that are left in the gallery (and get below the limit), I will have to find the original on my computer, resize it down to approx 50 kb size (but keeping the same file number the camera gave it originally), deleting the big pic in the gallery and then uploading the lower sized pic into my gallery. That would be a lot of work for someone like you that has a full time job (make that 2 full time jobs - mother and chauffeur).
Good morning world! Patriots will crush another team tonight!

If I click on Upload Photos, I just get a message that I'm over the limit. No info on the actual amount in my gallery.
To find how much I have in my gallery, from the gallery page I click on PROFILE and then click on STATISTICS.
Its all the way up to 23°F. Supposed to be sunny and about 50°F today. I may go for a Cobra ride and sneak into the Quincy Christmas parade. Just a small parade ... 3 miles long ... and they probably will have 250,000 spectators. Unbelievable parade for a city of about 85,000 people. They alway have around 200,000 but with good weather they expect more.
Time for some breakfast.

Warren,
See the picture in my post. It shows just below the status bar how much space I have used, How much I am allowed and how much is left. However I am not sure it is completely correct as a couple of the numbers don't work out. The red on my status bar represents the space used and the green is what I have left. I tried your way and got the same results as shown in the picture. Since yo are so far above the limit, yours may not display that status bar and the information. I downsized that picture, so it makes it hard to read the limits under the status bar, but I also put it on Photo Bucket as I do most of the pictures that I include in posts.
Edit: To other good places to use are Flicker as you mentioned and Fotki which Steve told us about. Both have free areas but are limited to so much, however Flicker said their limit is so much per month and then at midnight on the last day of the month your limit is reset to the full amount. Fotki seems to have unlimited space in their paid for area and the price is very reasonable for anyone who posts huge amounts of pictures. Also from what I read they let you post huge pictures.

It actually could get above freezing today...maybe.
We are just about done with our donation. We have about one truck load of things.
I think we are getting our tree today. We get a live tree and then plant it.
What do you all do? I know HLC has a few trees in the house, but I am not sure what everyone else puts up.

"We're sorry, but you currently are over your quota for allowed disk space.
Please remove images from your gallery to free up more space."
that's what i get. I'd have to delete half my gallery.
I'm really bummed about this. I hadn't planned on using an offsite storage facility. In fact, this is a lousy 'improvement' to CC, IMHO.
Why was this done??

Kristen,
I wasn't even aware of it until some of you started posting that you couldn't load any more pictures. Why it was done only Brent or Computerworks could give you an actual answer, but my guess would be to save space on the servers. The other sites that I belong to have a limit, even the one that charges yearly dues. But since I don't post a lot of pictures, I never have a problem with it. And I have been using an off site one for years as I can let anyone in to see what I do post or I can selectively control who can and who can't access them.

well i went to the thread in all cobra talk that explains how to do it, and it does say why, but i have to say i'm not very happy about it. guess i won't be uploading any more pics.
i'd have to delete hundreds to upload any.
also... i've been to the gallery page, clicked on 'profile' and can't find the 'statistics' button to even find out how much space i have used.
frustrating.
i'm sure it's gonna be a rude awakening when i do find out how much space i've 'over used' and how many i would have to delete. I guess i could delete a few, but it would never be enough to upload even one.
k
makes me mad;sad; confused. What really needs to be done is to 'delete' the 10,000 or so members that 'joined' but never have posted even once, who knows why they joined and who cares??
yeah, so maybe there are 18,000+ registered users. I can tell you I bet there are only 2000 or so that actually return here regularly.
Let's clean up some bandwidth there!
thanks for the help, tho'.
