Good morning! Rained all night. Thankfully its 40°F outside, so it did not snow. Time for breakfast. Cereal or omlete? Maybe a grapefruit. Tough decisions so early in the morning.

Warren,
Eat a lot of warm stuff. Very cold weather and snow are headed your way. You ticked off the Mt. Shasta Goddess and now soon you will get to experience her powers first hand. Wonder what your neighbors will think when you have 10' of snow and they just have a few feet.

The Mt Shasta Goddess is a wimp!
No snow here. I'm going for a ride (tomorrow maybe). Too wet today.

Forget it. No ride tomorrow or for the next month or so. Unless of course you put the Cobra on a sled and pull it with sled dogs.
Edit: Well today I should receive a call from the vet and find out more about the pups. Just hope that it is good news. Anything in the intestines is bad and I am hoping for the best, but expecting the worse.

Well the vet called and I can go get the brats in an hour or so. They have to stay on a special diet for 8 months at least as some of the treats that I had bought has caused an intestine problem which he said wasn't severe and should clear up, but it will take about 8 months to be sure. I looked at some of those treats that I had never used before and guess what. MADE IN CHINA. So I am to blame for their discomfort.

Glad to hear that the pups are going to get better. From now on, you will have to be the "taster" for the puppies. No new food for them without you taste testing it first.
Hummmmmmmmm. Snow tires for the Cobra? Naaaaaaa. Its still raining outside. Hey Tru ... can I borrow Yukon? Can he pull my Cobra on flat ground? It weighs about 2500 lbs, which may be heavier than your Lone Star Cobra.
Would you believe I still have a set of studded snow tires on my 442. The tires hold air, so they are great for storage. Maybe I'll finish the restoration this winter.

Home and the pups are gong wild but that will ease off after the adrenaline wears off. I have to take Sweetheart back Monday for him to check her but he said Frenchy wasn't nearly as bad and unless something happens he should be ok. I have a diet of canned food and dry food that Ken said to keep them on with no treats for at least 8 months. He did give me a bag of treats he has there that he said was ok but very bland and they don't seem to care much for them. Also the canned food doesn't seem to appease Sweetheart but she never liked the other either. However both seem to like the dry food. They have ran themselves into the ground i the first 30 minutes home and are both resting now, but I expected that as once the adrenaline high wore off they would be tired. But now I feel they will be ok and what a relief.

Ron,
That is great news about the pups - I guess the chinese goodies were the
problem. At least your guys did better than some who didn't make it.

Flip,
I should never have bought anything but what I have always fed my dogs but this was name brand treats. Now I have no idea of which one may have caused the problem so they all went into the garbage truck this morning. Maybe some of the rats at the dump will eat them and get sick. Fortunately I noticed Sweetheart who is the smaller was starting to act strange and it was from something that caused her intestine to actually get thicker which in turn makes the inside hole smaller and causes a great deal of discomfort. Ken took me in this morning and showed me the x-rays of both and then some of some other dogs and you can see where the wall of the intestine actually gets thicker. Frenchy wasn't nearly as bad and I don't have to take him back unless he starts to act worse. I have to take Sweetheart back Monday for him to check on her and make sure nothing is getting worse, but he said he felt that after about a month, she would be almost back to normal.

Maybe you could use a puppie-upper yourself. dON'T GET TOO TIRED TRYING TO CHASE THEM AROUND.
dAMN CAP LOCKS BUTTON. i WISH THEY DID NOT HAVE IT SO CLOSE TO THE shift BUTTON.
There, that's better.
Still raining outside and tomorrow is rubbish day. Hate putting out the rubbish when its raining. Maybe I'll wait and put out the rubbish at 6 AM when they come ... yea, right..... Just finished dusting downstairs. UGH. Maybe its time to hire some Merry Maids ... maybe I can give them a Cobra ride in payment. Now I have to vacuum and wash the kitchen floor. Double UGH.
Time do drag out my trusty old Elextrolux ... a 1964 model. They don't build 'em like they used to.

Thanks Tru,
I can't believe how attached I have become to them in just 6 months. They are finally resting now after romping like mad for about 20 minutes. But they need to rest some and let Sweetheart get some of her strength back.
I wanted to see the x-rays so I could really see what was going on. And the hospital has won an International Award as being one of the best and up to date ones in the world. I know when he was building it and he would take me through it, I told him then that it made our two hospitals for people here look like something out of the stone ages. I think I would prefer to go there for surgery or any serious illness than to St. Josephs.

Hey, I just noticed that Tru has broken into the top 10 posters and is fast closing on Turk. Gee Warren, that kind of leaves you and Fred lagging behind. Of course who would expect a Turtle Farmer to be fast at posting.

I doubt that I'll catch Tru's # of posts. My typical post is a couple of paragraphs and probably takes a couple of minutes to type.
Tru's typical post is much shorter, usually just over the ten word minimum.

Warren,
I never look at the post counts but was just looking for something else on that page and saw Tru's name up there. You are just over 1,000 from making it. I think that at one time they had the top 10 thread starters listed too but am not sure. I would have thought that with all of the pictures that you post, you would be in the top 10.

Most of my pictures are in this New, New Chat thread.
I was surfing the net this afternoon, and I found a picture of Tru cutting down one of his trees.

It's 2:30 AM and its raining still. But it's 62°F outside. I'm going down to the beach for a swim in the 47°F ocean.

Warren,
The posts in this Chat Thread count just like any others. Liked the picture of Tru and his tree. Now we know why he doesn't mention the truck much any more.
I received an e-mail from Brent Dolphin this morning. They are doing well and he is really busy with his new job. Darn it is hard to believe that their daughter is already in school. Time flies when you get really old.
