How did you get a picture of my driveway after that light snow shower we had yesterday? Looks like a PhotoShop pic.

Fred,
To answer the question that you asked Tru, yes the razorback is vicious wild hog and the boars are very mean. That is what the University of Arkansas uses as their name. They used to have a live one but I think had to get rid of him as he was to dangerous. And they love Texans.
Edited to correct name.

OOPs. Sorry about that Warren. That darn avatar of Fred's makes it hard to think. Maybe he should replace it with a Turtle. I will go back and edit that post and put the correct name in it.

I will plow...when it stops.
Dang it is snowing again.
I think the razor back has bred with domestic swine to get what is called "wild hog" all over the place. They are getting out of hand up here, but winters tend to cut back in their numbers.
Deep snow with none or little tree cover can make survival for the "wild hog" a real challenge.

So,the Razorback is the original and the "wild hog" is a replica,so to speak.
Are the wild hogs up there and what you hunted here in Texas about the same size ?

Ron.
You remember the book How to Win Friends & Influence People by Dale Carnegie .
I first read it a long time ago.
I went back this morning and scanned it to refresh my memory.
NO Where in it did he say calling Anyone Warren will Win Friends or Positively Influence People.

I have heard they are quite large.
That 300 pounder I got the last day is still in my mind.
I liked the picture of the moose. I haven't gone hunting for moose yet.
I heard Sadaam Hussein wrote a book just like it...with the same title.

hERE'S ONE FOR fRED .......
80 year old woman marries for the 4th time
====================================
The local news station was interviewing an 80 year old lady because she
had just gotten married again for the fourth time. The interviewer
asked her questions about her life, about what it felt like to be
marrying again at 80, and then about her new husband's occupation.
'He's a funeral director, ' she answered.
'Interesting,' the newsman thought. He then asked her if she wouldn't
mind telling him a little about her first three husbands and what they
did for a living.
She paused for a few moments, needing time to reflect on all those
years. After a short time, a smile came to her face and she answered proudly, explaining that she'd first married a banker when she was in her early
20's, then a circus ringmaster when in her 40's, later on a preacher
when in her 60's, and now in her 80's, a funeral director.
The interviewer looked at her, quite astonished, and asked why she had
married four men with such diverse careers.
She smiled and explained, 'I married one for the money, two for the
show, three to get ready, and four to go.'

Fred,
I remember the book. I apologized to you in a post and even went back and edited that post and put your name on it. I don't have any ability or the smarts to influence people anyway so that part doesn't apply to me.
A Razorback is for the mast part a vicious wild hog. They love human meat. And they do grow quite large. I had some statistics on them but can't find them now. I did find the pillow that my Mother had that has a Razorback Hog on the cover. Tusks somewhat short of a Texas Long Horn Steer. Don't piss them off if you are on the ground. This will slow you down a lot.

Mike,
I go to bed at 7 PM and get up at midnight. I spend from 14 to 16 hours a day awake messing around. Since the hours I had to keep at work I can't get into any schedule like a normal person. Sometimes I don't even go to bed and stay up for 24 to 30 hours. But no more of the 60 hour straight crap as that is what caused me to have the breakdown.

Razorback Hog; Loves to chase people on Motorcycles. Size and weight are most likely exagerrated, though they have documented them up to 1,200 pounds.
Subject: Dead razorback 800lbs 8ft long
How would you like to run across this in the woods????? The hog was reportedly killed in Arkansas very recently close to where they hunt... The man in the picture killed him, took 3 shots from a 7 mag. The afternoon before, he saw this hog eating on the side of the road. He pulled over, and when he slammed the door on his truck, the hog spooked, and charged him. He rammed the side of his truck and put a huge dent in it and popped 2 holes in the metal where his tusks hit. He went back in camo the next morning and sat by a fence. The hog came out and he shot once and the hog turned and looked at him. Shot him again and he went to his knees and got back up. Shot him the third time and put him down. The rest of the story is the picture. He weighed over 800 lbs.

I have actually seen snow drifts plowed like that. Never on a curve, but the walls were more than 2X higher than my Dads truck. I thought it was the coolest thing ever when I was a kid.

That Boar I got charged at me. I shot him three times with a 30.06.
Nasty animals to say the least. I was hoping to make a trip down to Texas and do another hunt, but money and time are not on my side...for right now.
It is snowing again, small flakes that cover the ground like a thin even blanket. Snow is the hunters legal silencer...if you know what you're doing.
Hmmm....

It is cold and raining lightly here just as they said it would be. Darn, tomorrow is my last trip to the dentist this month and they are saying it could be rain and snow in the morning. I hope not until after I get home, though it is only about 1/2mile to the dentist. I also have a hole in the exhaust pipe of the Comet and am going to have to get it into the muffler shop one of these days and have that fixed.
