Sounds like great weather for driving and just having fun. Our high yesterday was 63 and no wind. We have a drive in here that has catered to the car crowd for so long I can't remember when it started. I do remember that a large hamburger was 25¢ or 5 for a dollar. I believe I had my Fred Flintstone Sportster then.

HLC
Don't let that jacka$$ get to you. It is just a matter of jealousy, he is jealous because he will never EVER have a lady with an ounce of class, and you are loaded with it. You spill more class on a daily basses than he would be have in a partner!!! Some people just can't understand or comprehend how to treat a lady. Remember in elementary school the boys would rough house the girls to get attention? Well that %#@$%*& is still in those elementary days. Too bad he is an adult and acting like a child. Truth is we all miss you here and your post on what the TCC does. I know the jacka$$ has tried to offend you many times to get your attention. Well if you give in, he wins. This is our home here in the lounge and on this thread. We own it! (well not literally, but you know what I mean) This is the only means we have of keeping in touch with everyone at the time. We build this thread twice now just bull $hittin about nothing but it has made us all good friends. From coast to coast and even an occasional drop in from Bearnie on his little island
You have always added a lot to this site as a whole and this thread. We miss you and your photos. PHUCK him (again not literally). We miss you!

BTW:
A section of land is indeed 660 acres or one square mile.
When we were kids my brother found a turtle shell out there that that was fossilized that had a span from the longest points on the shell that was about eight feet if I remember correctly. It was buried in the sand and had washed out after a rain. It is in the Smithsonian somewhere now. They came out and had a "dig" and recovered the fossils.
We would also find sharks teeth every time we went out. As a kid I'll bet I had several hundred sharks teeth from the farm up there. People did not believe me when I told them where they can from.

steve. I am NOT letting that guy get to me! it's ok......
there are several things, one of which is all the gripe about the gallery. I have deleted another 50 photos, this morning. what a waste of time!
I need to get to 100 megs just to upload one pic. i currently have 231 i think (megs). I mean, i might as well delete the whole gallery, resize, and upload sparingly and very selectively.
if i had all the time in the world... maybe....
I think warren has done that.... what a lot of time and work. I don't mind the work; just don't have the time.
I might just delete the whole gallery, one fell swoop. Obviously, since they are all too big to start with, i'd only end up with around 50 pics in there anyway. Just to upload one....anyway. on to more important things.
I am continuing my fact finding on a 'section of land' and every single source i have looked at says a section is 640 acres. Are they all wrong??
(i know, splitting hairs and being picky here) just playing withya.
Quote:
"The standard unit of measuring land in the United States is the ACRE.
An Acre is equal to 43,560 square feet (Sq. Ft.) of area. An acre is also equal to 10 square chains ( 66 x 66 x 10 = 43560 Sq. Ft.) or 160 square rods (16.5 x 16.5 x 160 = 43,560 Sq. Ft.)
There are exactly 640 Acres in one square mile."

ok. enough playing on cc today. got things to do!

Maybe at the end of the month. But no guarantee.
Did anyone else watch the Bud Shootout? Great race, especially since Dale Ernhardt Jr won. It was also great to see Mike Waltrip up front for quite a while.

About 2 months ago, we got Steve back which was great. Now hopefully we get the great Ms K back.
Life is great!
Anyone need gas? Here is an old pump a farmer uses. About 500 yards from his barn, located right off the road next to his house.

How about this "artwork" in the front yard of a house? Interesting, to say the least.
Of course, there is some "over the top" artwork around too.

Darn, the wind is starting here now and that is going to ruin a nice day as it is coming right across the snow just past the dam and is very cold.
Kristen,
You don't have to get rid of your pictures. Just create another location and make as many as you need. If you click on the View my Miscellaneous Gallery in my signature line you will go straight to another site that I store pictures on. And you can have as many as you want. I use Photo Bucket, but there are several that are good. Fotki I think it is has unlimited storage if you pay so much a year. To me, if I were posting a lot of pictures that is what I would do. But with the few that I post, I use the free sections.

I had a nice day yesterday and got to enjoy the weather here as well. I helped Miles with an electrical problem and then we went for a short ride. It was awesome. A couple of hours later, my wife was asking me what I was smiling about. I have got to get me one of these cars.

And Waltrip qualified 2nd for the 500 race. Maybe things are going to get better for him and his team this year. I still don't like the top 35 rule. Throw it out and the fastest 43 qualifiers race and if one of their stars don't make the race to bad.

Oh look, it is a casting of Warren.
Hey there HLC, I understand Bernie is coming to Tulsa and London ( I think he is ), anyway, what are YOUR plans? Shall we meet up in London?
-2 last night. this is the first year we have the heat set to 62 and we had a pipe freeze. It is thawed now, but it was an interesting 5 am with no hot water.
This has been a challenging weekend, someone slid into the mailbox, the farm truck will not start and now the pipe was froze. All is fixed, but it wasn't fun.
Got to check the woodstove.

Just got back from a ride. Tried to get some sunset pics. Temp is 25 F with 40 MPH wind. The sand blasting off the beach was thrilling.

Warren,
We have had two really great days here. Boy is this weather weird. Three days ago it was cold and snowing and now it is in the upper 60s and like Spring. Supposed to be the same for the next two days but I wouldn't bet on it. Wish you had sent your Cobra to me to keep and I could drive it and keep it in shape.

I saw Tru's & Warren's weather and this seems to fit...
The Humpin' Ho Sisters thought this was a better fit...
It's been in the 70's the last 3 days.

I did get to enjoy those 70s yesterday when Miles gave me a quick ride. Man, that made my month at a minimum.

It is cool this morning but supposed to be another nice day today. Unfortunately I have felt so bad the past three days I can hardly drag, so I can't get out and enjoy this weather. By the time I get past this nerve spell, the weather will be lousy. Almost makes me happy that I don't have a car any more as I would be wanting to go out and drive some.

Warren, you went for a ride in the Lincoln. You had me for a moment there, I thought you took the Cobra out in 25 degrees.
