.... and its on page 400 of this thread.

I wonder if any newbie has read the entire thread from page 1?

SUNS OUT, but the temp is down 10 degrees to 41 F. Getting really windy too. Went out to Chapaquidick a couple of days ago and got some nice pics. Will post later. Time to go get a newspaper and a coffee.

Joe,

I doubt if very many have read the whole thread. Ask Tru. He is always getting lost and having to go back to see what he missed. It would be a lot easier to list the few who have read the whole thing. I have, and I think Warren, Fred, Tru, and maybe Kristen has.

Tru,

What do you mean by a 5 page thingy?? Is the snow getting to you? That 2 was 395 pages ago.

Well.... let's not forget the many many pages of the original 'ignore' thread.
started by the original Mr. Rick Dorman. I think????

Mike z..... always nice to see you pop in here.
yup... I THINK I've read every page... probably every post, too, but always a possibility of missing some here and there.

Had to go back a page or two this evening to catch up. Talking about frogs, turtles and the weather.... ok.....

#3 is leaving at 6:45 in the MORNING from school- off to an academic program for elementary kids. Last year it was in Dallas, so it was easy. This year.... San Antonio for a night! wow! She is reciting a poem by Shel Silverstein.

I am leaving with Peter tomorrow evening to go down to Texas A&M for a special program.
He will stay with the Corps of Cadets on Friday night, and I'll be BY MYSELF in a REAL HOTEL for a whole night!! yea!!!! for $35 bucks I thought it was a good way to at least have a sampling of being in the corps.
I'll let you know how it goes.... It's all about recruiting, and their premise is that Eagle Scouts and Cadets have a lot of the same goals, personality traits, etc, and it would be a good 'match' so to speak.
btw. He received his Eagle Rank a few weeks ago. He hasn't had his ceremony yet, but at least he is officially an Eagle!!! yea!!
#2 is 'Life' (rank) and beginning ideas for his Eagle project.

He hasn't ruled out Texas Tech, or SFA (Stephen F. Austin) or Texas State.... but A&M is definitely in the pole position for now.

gotta go!
see ya'll Sunday.

Best of luck to the boys Kristen. As for you staying in the hotel foe $35 bucks, that is unheard of. Out here the worst rooms would run you from $75 to $150 a night. Last time I stayed in a Holiday Inn in San Francisco and it was during the off season when the rooms were cheap, it cost the company $280 per night. And congratulate them for their achievements in the scouts. The best times of my life were in the Boy Scouts.
Also # 3 is really starting to grow and sounds as if she is doing great. Congratulations to all of them and keep us posted. Just pleas don't you join the Cadets.

welllll....... Peter is staying with the Corps, and the fee for the 'weekend' is $35.
I am staying at the Marriott in College Station, which is NOT $35!!!!!
sorry... I didn't write that well. What i was meaning was, for $35 Peter can determine if he even likes the Corps. If he hates it, then all I've 'lost' is $35. whew!!

gotta run. busy, long day today. I have Bible Study at 9:30, and then my new fridge is getting delivered between 11:30 and 1:30. yea!!
then a meeting at school about 'Colonial Day' at 2. Then.... #4 has piano at 3:15, then home, and pack and get ready to leave with Peter at 5 or so. Get to College Station by 9 and then........
ttyl!!!!
K

oh yes. forgot my weather update. Raining lightly here. it was 58* at 5 am, now it's dropped to 48* or so. Looks like a cold, wet morning. This weekend is supposed to be really nice here, though.

Kristen,

I didn't read your post close enough. I should have known that you can't get a hotel room for $35 dollars and there is a fee here too for the Cadets but I don't have any idea of what it is.
Boy, you are one of the busiest people I have ever known. It is nice that you can make it to all of the kids stuff, but I don't see how you can keep up enough energy to go day after day. But the main thing is you are enjoying it and I know they like having you there to watch them. Now when the girls start dating, you are really going to have a schedule to keep.

The first five pages were a topic for a few posts as we noticed we had all changed a bit. AND there was no frogs or Turtles.

Dang, maybe that was in the ignor thread.

Folks it is -3 outside and it feels like it!!!

That kid that was taking shop...building a diesel engine, he is on page three.

I started to, then realized that there was just too much to read. I am in Southern Cali again this week. Had a meeting in San Diego yesterday and it was the standard drizzly rain that falls for a couple months here every year. Now in Calexico just waking up and about to get ready for the day.

Joe,

It would be hard to sit down and read this whole thread as it has no line of thought. One post is about weather and the next about pig hunting in some state and another about Frogs and Turtles.
