I guess they fixed my name.
Fred, that is a bad picture. I am not sure I would risk that on my bike...if I had a bike.
Warren, there is no lovin for me...I am loved and it feels good.
Ron, 4 - 8 inches this weekend. I suppose them people in Texas are learning how to drive...Detroit style.
Joe and Steve, you two need to move north to get the full effect.

Tru,
Nice to see you feeling better and posting again. Our nice day didn't happen. It is only 60° and overcast here today. But it was in the 30s this morning and yesterday morning at the same time it was in the high 50s. I think our worst weather is over, but sure wouldn't bet on it the way the weather has been this year.
And the people in Texas driving on snow are like around here. We are just on the border of being high enough to get much snow, but about once every 4 to 6 years we will have a big one. And as soon as it covers the highway, you can just walk out and stand and watch the idiots fly by and slam on their brakes.

Today was a shopping (shopping sucks) day for campiing stuff for the first leg of the mc tour.
Need compact and light weight stuff.Figure a store that deals with hiking stuff would be the place.
Went to REI.
Got a 2-man tent,tent footprint,sleeping bag,self-inflating sleeping pad.
Also a real compact cooking setup.
If I don't have some sort of caffinated coffee when I wake up in the morning,I'm not a Happy Camper.

Well, I finally gave up with the home computer. I got a virus that I cannot seem to get rid of. I do not know where or how I got it, but it is there. It is opening up a port that is bypassing all of my spyware and virus protection programs as well as my firewalls. I think that I may have gotten the virus, but I have been unable to fix the damage. In the mean time, I keep getting more viruses and spyware. So I am now in the process of formatting the hard drive. I did not loose any data as I have everything backed up on a different drive, but this is a pain.

Joe,
I had to "debug" my desk top twice in 2005. What a pain in the butt. It takes all day to get it done and reloaded.
If you have never debugged one it is a time consuming pain for sure. Good luck.
I used to have McAfee when I got the bug. It did nothing to stop it. Ever since I got the AVG I have had no problems. (knock on wood)

I spent about a week on it, Norton could not find it. I still have a while on my subscription as i just renewed it, but I will definitely look for something better this time next year. What is AVG? I haven't used that one yet.
Back on the Home PC now. Windows Updates are downloading and setting everything up. Just taking a break while the updates download. I think I am about to call it a night. I am tired.

Joe,
Sorry to hear about your problems. There are several good virus programs out there but none of them I have tried will catch everything. I keep mine updated and it just finished updating while I was typing this. I don't know if you tried this or not, but when you have a virus and get it out, you should flush out the System Restore as it will normally have some of the virus in it and will just keep putting it back in. So far, knock on wood, I have never had any viruses. I had Nortons for a while but never like it as it would let the test viruses through and I now use the McAfee Security Center 8.2. It caught all of the test viruses, but there are so many new ones that come out daily it is almost impossible for any virus program to catch every one of the, I am also careful about any new site that I visit and pretty well lock down what can be seen until I look at the site. Plus I use the older computer to test with as it is faster to format the drive and reload than this one with the 1 Tet. drive is. I believe it was Ernie some time ago that had a similar problem helping a neighbor and once he got rid of the system restore points, that virus never came back. And I know what you mean about spending all day as you have to wait for all of the updates to be re-installed. Good luck and get some rest.
Ron

Yea, I tried that too Ron. I completely got rid of all the system restore points. What it seemed to be is a trojan that opened a "backdoor" that bypassed everything. I was continuously getting new viruses that once running would be caught and I could stop them, but I was getting new ones every few min. It made doing anything on the computer a task.

Joe,
I wish the dam fools that waste their time writing and putting out these viruses would use their intelligence to help the country out. I go out and look from time to time at the number of new viruses and it is unbelievable how many they come up with each day. Of course some of them are modified versions of ones that have been around for years. Save the next one you get and forward it on to one of those scam artists.

Joe, time to reformat and move on. Do you miss the full effect?
Ron, all you need to do is sit and watch for some of the more entertaining things in life.
HLC, hope you, Dave and the kids are keeping warm.
Steve, you can move to Mexico, I am not sure I would want to try your proposal.
Still have the sniffles, a cough once-in-a-while. Nik came home last night. I think I am going to try to relax for the next couple of days.
Fred, camping is one of the best adventures there is!!!

Well I was going to watch the qualifying in Atlanta but it is snowing there now. And the NASCAR mouths are trying to convince everyone that they will be starting any time now as the jet dryers are keeping the snow blown off the track. What a crock. If the weather report they showed was correct they won't even be able to race tomorrow let alone today.

You might as well watch the Ice Road Truckers on the Discovery Channel. They go 20 km/hr on the ice. No that's racing. Road that cracks, and if you go too fast, you might be sucked up by the "track" and die!

Warren,
I watched that whole series when it first showed. No way would I want to drive one of those trucks over that ice. And you notice they are really hard on anyone caught speeding. It is automatic dismissal and kicked out of the country. And the one guy had to pay his own way home on a plane.

I haven't seen the Ice truckers show, but the previews are intriguing enough to entice you to watch.

Tru,
You must be bored up there.I'm surprised that show would interest you after you seeing the previews.
I saw it last season.
I imagine it is not much more, maybe even less, exciting than what you do everyday during the winter getting from your house to the main road.

That show has been on for 2 years. Not bad. Not great, but better than 90% of the garbage on TV.
