The book is Horton Hires a Ho
Currently the movie is Horton Hears a Who
Close enough for New Yawk residents.
Joe - I also liked your pothole joke, but I do not want to pay for it!

Wow, you are getting snow. That is great.
My wife and I went to the rodeo and one of the first exhibits we stopped at was the breeding bulls. We went up to the first pen and there was a sign attached that said, ' THIS BULL MATED 50 TIMES LAST YEAR'
My wife playfully nudged me in the ribs ...Smiled and said, 'He mated 50 times last year.'
We walked to the second pen which had a sign attached that said,
''THIS BULL MATED 150 TIMES LAST YEAR'
My wife gave me a healthy jab and said, 'WOW~~That's more than twice a week! .........You could learn a lot from him.'
We walked to the third pen and it had a sign attached that said, in capital letters,
'THIS BULL MATED 365 TIMES LAST YEAR'
My wife was so excited that her elbow nearly broke my ribs, and said, 'That's once a day ..You could REALLY learn something from this one.'
I looked at her and said, 'Go over and ask him if it was with the same old cow.'
Honestly--------My condition has been upgraded from critical to stable and I should eventually make a full recovery.

They recommend waiting 30 minutes after applying suntan lotion before exposure to the sun.
So I figured I'd drink a cup of coffee and check in here to kill the time before heading out for a 250-300 mile ride in the sunny 70 degree weather.
Warren,
is it still snowing ? Real bad ??
I bet it looks pretty sitting by the window, drinking a hot cup of coffee....oh.I forgot....Got any coffee yet ???

Na. The snow only came down for about a hour, and one hour after that it was all melted. Just a little drizzle now. Wimpy Mt Shasta Goddess.
Went to the store for some coffee and a few other things. Bill came to 186.00. UGH And that does not count for the 5 loaves of Irish Soda bread at 4.99 a loaf at the Irish bakery. Boy, were they busy. Gave most away to neighbors as presents. Especially one neighbor who shoveled the front walk and cleaned the driveway while I was on vacation, so it looked like someone was home. Threw in some nice desserts in his bag.

That's a good little boy, Stevie. Just in case you wake up, call me and I'll read you a story explaining why you have two Mommy's.

Warren,
Went to the store for some coffee and a few other things. Bill came to 186.00.
Wasn't it you that told me some time back when I posted that it was almost impossible to go to the store here and spend less than $150 dollars and come out with just one or two small sacks of stuff that I was exagerating? But that was cheap then. Prices here have jumped again.
You will regret that remark about the wimpy Mt. Shasta Goddess. Just look at what happened in Atlanta and they never even ticked her off.

Good Morning World
Only 4 more days until spring is official. I know its springtime because the ClamBox and the ClamShack on the beach just opened, and my cellar sump-pump is working.

Well just be happy that you didn't wake up in Atlanta yesterday. Spring begins Thursday and our nice weather left yesterday and it is 36 this morning. That is hard to take after the 70 degree days. Guess I will watch the race today if it doesn't keep raining there.

Morning everyone.
Warren
Be glad it is working. It tends to get messy when they stop.
Ron
Everything here is going through the roof. It is all fuel related. It is due to the high cost of transportation and delivery to get the products to the shelves.
At least that is today's excuse.

Steve,
If they are telling the truth, and in this case I tend to believe they may be, the refineries are working at capacity now and just importing more oil won't help.
I saw in yesterday's paper where the tree huggers are now upset that all of the timber that burned here a few years ago and they wouldn't let them salvage any of the stuff while it could still be used for lumber is rotting and releasing huge amounts of Green House Gas into the atmosphere. Now they are wanting something done to stop that from happening down in Southern Calif. where all the fires were last summer. The CO2 I think it is, coming from these rotting stumps and trees is so bad it is stunting the growth of new trees and is several hundred times what the Environmentalists claimed it would be when they stopped the cutting of any of the trees after the fire. And now they want that stopped. How do you stop thousands of acres of rotting trees from emitting gases?
