Fred,
I am surprised you are on your bike instead if being in Austin for the TCC event this weekend.

Morning everyone.

Steve,
Been there,done that.

I would have had as much enjoyment going down to the Dallas City Jail Drunk Tank and would find the level of conversation comparable.
When you don't drink it gets real old real quick watching people getting falling down drunk. It is a complete waste of time trying to talk to the same people.Mostly all that you hear as the day goes on is "I love you man" or "Man I'm wasted ! ".
Everyone has their own way of having fun..... I find this to be very boring.

Riding the backroads of East Texas through four National Forests & The Big Thicket in the Spring Time, while meeting many many regular, salt of the earth people in our small towns is in a class of it's own.:)

Fred,
Yea, I understand.

hey,littlecobra 03-30-2008 03:35 PM

hi, i'm home!
austin was fun and spent several hours cruising the hill country, out by horseshoe bay, marble falls, and well all those other little towns. Several of the Dallas group and a couple of others enjoyed traveling in a group of about 10 cobras. A nice manageable group. a couple of hours on Friday and several on Saturday.
No one i was with got falling down drunk although i did say i love you a couple of times and not once did i or anyone else i was with say they were wasted.
Must have been with the wrong group!
oh, and Kountze wasn't there..... ;)
the group is always evolving and the members that attend change yearly. Now that we do local tailgate parties in the parking lot each evening the club is more cohesive and is very strong and much friendlier.
Austin hosts thursday, dallas on Friday, and Houston on Saturday. Much nicer than a few people scattering to different restaurants, etc.
we had a fish fry on thursday, bbq on friday, and hooters wings, etc on saturday.
nicely organized without being overly rigid.
Perhaps another time you'll want to join us again. :)
Next year will be very difficult for me, but if i can i will drive the 500 down early saturday morning to make the lunch and pass on my title....
If i remember correctly, fred, the last time you were there you were sicker than a dog! we were worried about you!!!
alrighty.... ttyl!!

I just saw the new StarGate movie, the ark of truth. Good if you like StarGate.

I enjoyed it.

Been out, but it is still cool here, in the 30s.

Welcome back HLC. Ron, stay off the roof. Warren, I was about 6'2" and weighed 185 :D, Steve, I still don't get it. Fred, you need to have a conversation in downtown Detroit :D.

Good night folks, see you all tomorrow. :D :D :D

:(

ARRG!!! Monday again but at least it is the end of a very miserable month for me and I am looking forward to next month improving a great deal over the past six. Right side is hurting so bad that I have to walk with a slight lean, but that will go away once the pain from the fall is gone. May have cracked a rib just a little but I don't think so. My bones went straight from limber and skipped brittle so they don't break as easily as most older peoples. They are more of a mush now. :JEKYLHYDE

Kristen,

Not that it is any of my business but just what do you mean Pass On Your Title? We miss you on here a lot, surely you aren't going to quit the Texas group. At least I hope not. I know that you have a lot going on with the kids and their sports and all, but you do need some time for yourself. Darn, if you were only 25,000 years older I would be pestering you.

Ron :p

Good morning everyone :)

I hope everyone is able to squeek a little this morning. It is when you stop squeeking that you need to worry.

Tru
You have mail. or a PM I can't remember which one I sent.

Ron
Take it easy and go get you some Tequilla. That'll stop the pain. Hey, there is a song in there somewhere.

no no..... I was elected 'Miss Texas Cobra Club- 2008' and I will have to relinquish my title next March. :D
There is a MAJOR CONFLICT in my families life next year, the Friday of the Texas meet, and i was not sure i'd be able to even go to the Spring Meet. (sad to already know a conflict for a year away!) but i will do everything in my power to still attend. My plan 'a' is to drive the 500 down early saturday morning, meet everyone at the restaurant, hand over my title to the next recipient, enjoy the festivities saturday night, and then come back home. I will HAVE to miss the event on thursday and friday. :(

I am definitely not quitting the texas forum. :)
they still love me there.... ;)

Tru - Ron probably sent you a e-mail thru Yahoo. It will probably get there next month some time.

4RE KLR 03-31-2008 12:50 PM

TRu,
I sent it to the email addy you have on CC file in your profile so if you didn't get it then maybe your addy is wrong. I will PM you, now.

Steve

Ron61 03-31-2008 02:15 PM

:)

Kristen,

We still love you here. You just let that one Ass get to you. I know that you are really busy with the kids and their activities and I think it is really great that you are. So many parents any more don't want to even be bothered with their kids let alone go to any of their events. And then they wonder why the kids turn out like them.

Ron :)

Ron61 03-31-2008 02:22 PM

Warren,

Yahoo and the AT&T tech are improving. After another two hours of fighting on the phone this morning they gave me a number to call the Yahoo Tech people. I called it and it was a sex abuse line. I called AT&T right back and told them I felt I had been sexually abused and the phone bills for the next few months would be deposited in an account until they found someone who could or would fix that problem. I finally did get hold of a very nice 2nd tier woman who really knew something and she told me Yahoo was so messed up right now that it may be months before they get things back working properly. She said she had stopped using their mail and was using the G-Mail instead as it took Yahoo completely out of the picture. She had very little good to say about Yahoo or the other AT&T techs that I have talked to as she was reading the reports I had sent in.

Ron :p

Good Morning all you April Fools!

At 7:30 AM it was 60°F outside. Yeaaaaaaaaaa :D:D

and raining. Booooooooooooooooooo :CRY::CRY:

Maybe can fit a ride in later today. Stop raining on my ride! :JEKYLHYDE

Ron61 04-01-2008 07:10 AM

Warren,

That is the Mt. Shasta Goddesses way of getting even with you. A nice warm day with rain. Now you can sit and watch it rain instead of shoveling snow. And since it is warm, you can even sit out on the porch.

Ron :p

trularin 04-01-2008 09:40 AM

I can not believe it is April already.

Dang.

:D :D

Ron61 04-01-2008 09:46 AM

Tru,

It isn't April. Your calendar is fast. :3DSMILE:

Ok, I have been fighting with AT&T and Yahoo for weeks now over my blocked e-mail from this site only. Now I finally got hold of an AT&T tech who told me that she quit using their mail months ago because Yahoo has everything so messed up they will need months to get stuff back straight. She had me try sending a test e-mail to her higher level techs and it never went through the Yahoo Server. I have a G-Mail account, but if I change to it from here, then I can't go back to my real account as I can't get the authentication e-mail from the site. Since everything else works on my main account except from here, I am going to disable the e-mail portion of my profile. I can still get and send PMs, just can't receive any e-mails from here. I am not sure if I needed to change and then come back if Jamo and CW can authenticate my account or if I would have to have Brent do it.

Ron :)

Its after 11PM and its still 61°F outside.

What a day ... an unknown coupe was found, the DJA went up 395 points and I had a short ride this afternoon.

Life is good, especially since I have no dealings with AT&T and Yahoo.

Ron, time to flush Yahoo
