Anyway I had expected to find at least one of the plastic gears with teeth worn or broken off but they all looked great. I have had other printers do much the same but could always find a reason. This was just strange and sounded as if you were grinding gears in a transmission and the paper would come out as if it had been pulled through sideways instead of straight. And I had already printed about 6 pictures before this happened, so something just gave up. As I said, it was an older printer and has had a ton of printing done with it. I really like the new all in one and the colors are better with the newer type ink.

I had one that the motor froze up and that caused the gears to grind as it stopped turning as the ink cartridges were sliding, but when it was off, you could slide it manually. It may be something similar. The motor locks up when voltage is applied, but turns freely when voltage is removed.

Joe,
The motor ran ok when I opened it up and just turned it on. The grinding noise seemed to come from the right side and the motor was on the left. But since I couldn't find anything at all that I could see, I wouldn't rule that out.

Doesn't really sound like that was it though, does it? I know my next printer will be one that I can plug directly into my router. I can only print with 1 PC right now since I still can't get both PCs to talk to each other.

I use a USB hub for all my stuff. Computer has 2 USB ports and I connect 2 printers, a DVD drive, web cam, cable for digital camera and probably something else under all the junk!

With Biker Babe's presence and reputation being as large she is,I'm not surprised that she gets her own celebrity entrance.
No doubt it cost a pretty penny to remodel & enlarge all those entrances across their country.
BTW - Just curious...(No Action Required)...Have you mentioned to BB that I'm back home from my motorcycle trip ??

Sorry, I guess you did not get the message. As soon as she arrived, I quickly paid the freight company to take her directly to Tru's farm in Ortonville. Tru was in desperate need for some counterweight for his tractor. You'll have to ask Tru where she is now.

USB ports is not the problem. Both PCs have at least 8. I have 2 PCs and only 1 printer. I can't seem to get the 2 PCs to talk and share the printer. By having a networked printer, I can access it independently by any PC on the network.

Rick,
Do a search in the All Cobra Talk forum. If you can't find what you are looking for, Post up a thread with the specifics. You are more likely to get a more helpful response in that forum. Unfortunately, I am still educating myself on these cars and doing my research. I cannot help you.
Good luck and welcome to the site.

Tru is on his favorite, going to town, tractor, cruising down Main St. with Biker Babe riding *itch.
Tru,no offence,it looks like BB has taken a slight toll on you.Like you have been rode hard and put up wet a few too many times.

How do you "lose" a battery? Did it fall out? Did someone steal it?
Or maybe it died? Did you try to give BB some thrills and short it out?
Better get another before the dirt arrives. I spent about 5 hours moving dirt yesterday, and then I only had time for a 45 minute ride. Oh, the horrors.
My dirt only had to move about an inch or so, and then most of it was returned to fill in around the plant roots. Thankfully there are no batteries in my garden hand tools.
Spent most of today cleaning and dusting the house. Ugh. Got to go get some carrots and cabbage for my corned beef dinner tonight. I'm afraid there will not be any leftovers with all the friends that are coming to dinner.

Tru,
With all of that dirt you have coming, maybe you can talk Warren into coming up and helping you.

Thanks for posting this.
It really looks like the ride for in town, short distances.
The Freeway might be a problem.
Small, lightweight and nimble, plus very easy to park.
I've decided that I need to make some changes in my life.I need to become as Green as I am PC.

If you keep hanging around the Humpin Ho Sisters you will turn green.
