Gee whiz

The Red Wings won the Stanley Cup and Tru has not been on the site yet crowing about it. Tru must really be busy, or he celebrated just a wee bit too much!

Ron - I just finished my list of local cruise-nights. The list is published in my car club newsletter. I restricted it to a 40 mile radius from the car club location. There are 22 cruise night locations! One of the new locations is at the Foxboro Stadium (Patriots Place) and they had 200 cars the first night! Not too bad, especially since we can only go in three directions. Any more than a couple of miles going East, and you need an Amphibious car.

I know you love doctors ... I have my bi-annual visit to the dermatologist this afternoon. That is one appointment I do not miss since I had 2 small cancerous growths removed about 10 years ago. Nothing since then, thankfully. But I always mention anything that grows (except for one important part) or changes color. The only doctor that I've ever seen that is always on time.

Wow, I remember when the American Eagle pilots were having a rash of that.

I cannot fathom why someone would risk so much for a drink. Instead of just terminating employment there should be long term jail time for those morons! Just like DWI there should a FWI or something along those lines.

I know the local lakes around here if you are drinking and boating you are going to jail, no questions. They have really cracked down on that here, and none too soon if you ask me. We have almost been run over many times by drunks in boats. I can't remember but I think that is BWI. The penalties and fines are the same as DWI. Jail is an option they use frequently. Good, I say. Why can't some people just go to the lake and have a good time without getting plastered?

The Red Wings are the long lost cousins of the hot Buffalo Wings.

Warren, you did not say WHERE those spots were...one can only speculate.

Steve, I did not see DALLAS on the stanley...Oh...that's right...Detroit kicked their behind. No wonder you are lost about the redwings.

Ron, got that 69 in prime condition. When you get 50k on it, you can trade it in for a new model. Wonder what the dealership would give you for it.

Got to go.

You really never know everything about the people you know. The secretary of my car club just got arrested.

That had to be a shock !

Such people are very good at hiding such things.Just like the people that molest kids. They have to appear above any doubt to be able to get close enough to the kids to do their filth.

Good morning all. This morning my ankle is better. My whole foot is still swollen, but there is not any pain when I walk without the boot. I can't bend it fully without pain yet, but just standing on it does not hurt. Swelling has gone down by about 50% so it is starting to look more like a foot and less like a balloon. The bruising from the ripped blood vessels can be seen on both sides of my ankle, the bottom of my foot and around my middle toe. I don't think I could have hurt it any worse and still not needed surgery. Even before my 2nd surgery, I did not have this much bruising, and the only time it was worse was the initial injury in 93. That time from my knee down was swollen and purple. I actually almost passed out from the massive internal bleeding the day after. I didn't need any blood, but I was close. I had to stay in a bed for 4 days. It really is not as fun as you would think getting a sponge bath, then again, having a male nurse that was hairier than I am, probably did not help matters.

Joe,

That is good news. Hope the ankle continues to improve quickly. But don't rush it about walking without the boot. You know that those tendons are still weak.

Joe,
Sounds like some more R&R in the backyard is needed to promote your recovery.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery Joe. At least now it will be difficult to stick your foot in your mouth!

Ron - are you mourning last nights LA Fakers loss? Good game. I could not believe it when Pierce came back on the floor after being carried off. Reminded me of Willis Reed and the NY Knicks.

Its been raining now for 3 days! Supposed to stop this afternoon. Of course, a heat wave is supposed to move in for the weekend with temps about 95°F. I guess I'll need to put an A/C in my ark.

Tru - at least one of the original 6 hockey teams won the Cup. I don't follow hockey at all since the league was expanded to 5683 teams with names nobody knows. What other professional league plays the entire season to eliminate about 3 teams out of what ... 24 teams?

Warren,

The Lakers choked for sure. Their outside shooting has been off and on all season. Time to bring Kareem and Magic back.
