You know what I feel about that 4 letter word (work), but I'd do that job for nothing.
Eliminating screen saver software from a computer would not save any CO2 at all. They probably also set the computer and the monitor to hibernate which saves electricity which reduces CO2 production.
Do you know what happened this week back in 1850, 158 years ago?
1. California became a state.
2. The state had no electricity.
3. The state had no money.
4. Almost everyone spoke Spanish.
5. There were gunfights in the streets.
So basically, it was just like California is today, except the women had real t**s and the men didn't hold hands.

Warren,
I like the marketing of the storage company. Someone is using the ole nugget.
Fred,
I saw that his morning. Glad I don't use the flying toasters.

FWB,
Actually if you add the two together you would be in my very infant years maybe!
Air quality report for here yesterday evening. Our normal clean air is 10/12 PPM of whatever it is they measure and yesterday at 5 PM it was over 300 PPM from the fires. I went outside for about 5 minutes before I went to bed and it took over an hour before my eyes stopped watering and my throat quit burning from the smoke and ash. I hope that some of this moves out of here today. They are telling all people to stay inside as much as possible and not run or work outside unless it is absolutely necessary and then to take breaks and go inside every few minutes. It is really hard on older people and babies with breathing problems.
I also received a notice from the city that we are now on volunteer water rationing and that may change in the next week. They have purchased some water from the Mcconnell Foundation, but with the lake and river so low there just isn't enough for the Summer unless everyone stops using it.

Up early this morning. I have to fly out to Indianapolis this morning for a 2 day project. I was hoping for a relaxing week before my 2 week vacation but that is not happening. The last 2 days have been hell prepping for this.

Ron, tough it out. The fires will stop. They always do.
Congrats on passing 13,000 posts!
Steve - sorry I'm so late checking in. I was busy last night watching TV.

Warren,
I have been watching the college world series. Fresno State has already became the first bottom seed to make it to the finals and they are tied at one game each. Tonight is the championship game. Last night was a real pitchers duel with Fresno State winning 19 to 10.

Ron,
Nothing on the news here about the fires.
Post a picture or two.
I got a chance to meet Bernie Knight and Hersh. Two great guys. I have met so many great people because of this club.

Good morning all. Everyone stop posting since I wasn't around? Good thing is everything went well for me yesterday. Got the project setup and no issues. Start the running of phones today and head back to the airport.
Only 2 days before vacation.

Fred - that ditty is from Bill Clinton, I think.
Joe - everyone goes underground occasionally. Hope your leg does not slow you down too much while on vacation.
Yesterday was a glorious day ... great weather. I got out of a meeting about 5 minutes after sunset, and the sky was fantastic. Of course, I did not have my camera with me.
Its 63°F right now. Only supposed to get to 80°F but very humid. UGH. Hate the humidity!
On the news this morning .... a grandmother got her new license plate. She asked her grandson to put it on her car. The grandson said no, you do not want that plate on your car, and called the registry.
The plate number was
WTF - 1

Fresno State Wins!
Fresno State won the college world series last night 2 games to 1 by beating Georgia 6-1. This is the first time that a bottom ranked team has ever won their regional, super regional, or the world series. And only the 2nd national title for Fresno State. Their Women's softball won one sometime ago. It was on of the best series I have watched and I watch them every year. An underdog team that was laughed at and supposed to be a warm up fop the first teams in the regional. A great achievement for the team and the school. Congratulations to Fresno State!
