Tru,
I did an extensive search and your Wild Boar thread is gone.

Wonder if a copy of it might still be on a back up server ?

Why don't we just say it is just a coincidence that your picture reminded Tru of his Texas Wild Boar Hunt.

FRED!!!

FWB, not at all, but Fred you had the perfect come-back on that.

I wonder if I could ask if it could be found. Maybe someone asked for it to be removed.

Hhhmmmmm.....................

Today is a mini-anniversary for me.

Haven't smoked,not even a puff,for 10 months now.

Have had my second Harley, the Road King Classic, for 5 months.

YTD,I've ridden 9,000 miles. 7,500 in the last 5 months on the RKC.

Fred,

Congratulations on you not smoking for 10 months. It will soon be a year and then two. And at least you are using the HRK and not just setting it in the garage so you can tell people that you have one. Small motorcycles and the scooters that are road legal are really selling around here.

Fred - Happy anniversary. My 3 year anniversary will be Oct 27th. Have you put any meat on your scrawny bones since you stopped smoking? I had to go back on my diet! My bucket is getting too big for the Cobra seat.

Nine thousand miles this year on your Harley(s)! WOW. Have you driven the Cobra at all?

Oh, yea, GMA.

Ron
There was a 5 minute long story of the CA fires on my local station last night. Some really scary video. If it gets close to your house, do not try to be a hero. Just take the '69 (and the puppies) and get the heck out of there.

They said there are still 350 fires in CA.

Warren,

If it should come to that I would leave in a minute. A house is just a material thing and can always be rebuilt. But at least for now they are getting the fires right by me contained if the wind doesn't come up and cause them to jump the lines. Still some hot spots and worried people, but much better over all than a few days ago.

Hey there!

I saw the Bucket List on the shelf, will pick it up next time.

I saw one sh!tty movie this weekend...Cloverfield. Has to be one of the worse.

We also watched Rambo, the new movie. That was good. There are two Ex-GIs at work who did two years in Iraq. They said the portrayal of the 50 cal shooting was accurate.

Looked unbelievable.

Went for a ride today, the rear brakes need bleeding, but all of the pedal stop rework is done.

Hope you all had a good 4th. Ron, stay cool. Fred, keep up that comedy. Warren, are you really going back on the diet? HLC, all my best to the family. Joe, It stopped raining for a while, are you gonna dry out? FWB, good pic, don't let Fred mess with ya.

Hey Tru,

Where did you see Bucket List on the shelf at? I normally look at our Target and WalMarts and I never saw it at either of them. I think I would like to see Wanted also, but so far I haven't seen it listed at either of the theaters here.

We haven't been getting much rain here. It sprinkled for about 5 min last night and that was it. Didn't even need to go inside during it and I didn't end up wet.

Yes Tru, I am going back on my weight loss program. I can track everything in an Excel program I developed ... weight, all nutritional facts, BMI, carb to protein ratio, etc.

Just got back from a short ride. Yesterdays parade was a blast. It stopped sprinkling about 15 minutes b/4 the parade started.

I must have done at least 20 burnouts during the 1.5 mile parade. Tons of fun. I also had about 10 pounds of "penny" candy that I threw to all the kids (and the nice looking ladies). Even got a female rider about 200 yards into the parade. Some of the early burnouts had a little wheel hop, but after the first 4 or 5 I was getting great burnouts ... and tons of cheers from the crowd. Of course, no burnouts from the 20 Model A's or the 15 Corvettes in the parade.

opps, I though Joe was getting some rain...now I see it was Warren.

Warren, when I do a car event, I sometimes put little kids int he drivers seat and let mom and dad take a photo. The kids have grins that are bigger than the joker.

Went and saw Hancock with the family. Good movie, worth seeing.

I do the same thing. But if the wife is really good looking, I take her picture in the car too. I'm a chauvinistic pig. Oink. That pic was taken after the end of the parade when they give out all the prizes. The parade this year was about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile long. Next year's parade will be the 100th, so it will be BIG.

Been cloudy and cool all day today. Going to rain shortly. Tomorrow supposed to be sunny and 80°F.

I have a serious desire to go for a ride.

It is getting dark and I think Woodward would be very active.

Sunday morning, July 6, 2008:

I spent most of yesterday watching the fire planes fly over as they had a steady parade of them. I hope the backfire worked and this big fire here by the dam will soon be a thing of the past. I am tired of having to stay inside because of the smoke and ash. Three weeks of this this enough.

Also am thinking about getting rid of all cars and other things that I no longer need. Had three calls yesterday about them. I have dropped all of my car magazine subscriptions except one and that is a club that I pay dues to and like their by-monthly magazine.

Fred & FWB

Another great breakfast - two egg beater Spanish omelet with cheese (no fat), 1/2 chicken sausage, raisin eng muffin w/jelly, a banana, one grapefruit, 1/2 glass apple juice and coffee

600 calories (only 5 gms of fat)

GMW.

Ron - Do NOT sell the 69. You will be sorry. As far as canceling the auto mags, not a problem. I did that a long long time ago. It cut down the amount of drooling.

Three weeks of fire smoke is too much. I'd go crazy after a couple of days. Its only 72°F here this morning, but you can taste the humidity. Fog all along the seashore. Once the fog lifts and the humidity goes down, its supposed to be a great day with high of 78°F and bright sun. All I have to do is read the Sunday paper and decide where I want to ride in the Cobra today. Maybe a trip into Boston.
