The last 2 days have set new records, so I am glad I was not around here then. Pretty much the same heat, just a lot longer time frame.

Yep,57 pulls. Put 40 miles on the dyno.

On each cylinder in the VE tables there are 187 cells to adjust. X2 = 372 cells

There are 153 cells to adjust in the A/F Table.. Grand Total 527 adjustments.

In the VE table, the cells are every 250 rpm AND the throttle positions are at ..
0.0 %
2.3
5.0
10.0
15.0
20.0
30.0
40.0
60.0

The max HP start to finish didn't change since I had already remapped 100% throttle A/F before taking it over to the shop. A/F @ 100% was 13. - 13.2 all the way across.

The low & mid range RPM HP (TQ) jumped 15% !:):D
The engine heat dropped a lot too.Lean = more heat.

It's like a different engine and I really didn't have any problems with it before doing all this tuning.

More power and it's smoother than Biker Babe's left tit.

yes, I was here in 1980 and I do remember that summer.

I was a lot younger then

4RE KLR 08-04-2008 05:25 PM

Joe,
That is exactly what I was talking about. Only I could stick my whole shoe in the crack where that guy just has his hand.

wtm442 08-04-2008 08:04 PM

I feel your pain regarding the heat wave in Texas. So I sent you a hurricane. Maybe the water will cool things down a bit. It got all the way up to about 78°F this afternoon, but cooled down to about 72°F when I left at about 5:30 PM.

Just got back from a nice evening ride to nowhere. Went to a local cruise night location. There was a nice '34 front wheel drive Cord and a '51 Merc with a stroked 460 BB Ford engine. Chewed the fat with about 20 other car nuts. Good time, great weather.

Fred
Story about Turtle #72. Does the job much better than any Ho sister frog could do.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...?nav=emailpage

Joe Wicked 08-05-2008 04:57 AM

Warren, that is because the Ho sisters probably would have hopped out of there quickly before anyone found them. If the guy sells all that pot, he has plenty of money to become a client later.

392cobra 08-05-2008 04:58 AM

Now I understand why Turtle is always hanging out in your "flower" bed.

Joe Wicked 08-05-2008 05:03 AM

Now Fred, are your saying Warren hired a 19 year old flunky to tend to his "Garden" he talks about all the time?

392cobra 08-05-2008 05:06 AM

Hey,I'm just sayin'....

wtm442 08-05-2008 05:54 AM

Hey man, if my turtle had found the stuff, you would not have seen the story in the newspaper for another 30 years, when he returned. If the Ho's had found it, it would have been ashes by now.

About 3 months ago, they busted a couple in their mid-50's along with their 19 yr old son. The electric company reported to police that the electrical bill was way out of line with other houses in the area. They caught them with hundreds of marijuana plants with high-tech grow lights all over the house with the heat set at 85°F

A garden inside a house!

4RE KLR 08-05-2008 07:01 AM

It happens here all the time. Especially around the local lakes where water is available.

I like the part where they say he is very cooperative. I suppose he doesn't want to spend five or six years bent over a bathroom sink in the pokey. :)

That is why they call it the pokey, isnt it?

Ron61 08-05-2008 12:01 PM

Hey Joe & Steve,

Did either of you get any rain or wind out of that hurricane that hit this morning or last night? News reports here on the local station were very sketchy. They said something about a very dry area was going to get some heavy rain.

Ron

wtm442 08-05-2008 02:12 PM

Everyone has seen Lambo style doors on other cars, but I have not seen one of these yet.

4RE KLR 08-05-2008 02:58 PM

Ron,
We have not even had a break in the temperature from the storm. They say we might get a scattered shower tomorrow but don't count on it.

Joe is in a better location to get a little rain from it.

trularin 08-05-2008 03:51 PM

All this in two days!?!?!?!?!

I see Jay has made an announcement.

I am thinking of trying Warren receipt for pickles.

:D :D

4RE KLR 08-05-2008 05:02 PM

Yep

It will be interesting to see if Hurricane can survive at all now.

We may get some light rain after all from the storm. It is still hot here.

Joe Wicked 08-06-2008 03:34 AM

No rain yet, and as of last night the brunt of the storm was quite a bit south of us. There is a chance for some isolated storms but I am not holding out for anything substantial.

Ron61 08-06-2008 05:14 AM

Any of ths bunch could be possible political candidates.

- AT&T fired President John Walter after nine months, saying he lacked intellectual leadership". He received a $26 million severance package. Perhaps it's not Walter who's lacking intelligence.

- Police in Oakland, California spent two hours attempting to subdue a gunman who had barricaded himself inside his home. After firing ten tear gas canisters, officers discovered that the man was standing beside them, shouting please to come out and give himself up.

- An Illinois man pretending to have a gun kidnapped a motorist and forced him to drive to two different automated teller machines. The kidnapper then proceeded to withdraw money from his own bank accounts.

- A 9-year-old boy in Manassas, Virginia received a one-day suspension under his elementary school's drug policy last week - for Certs! Joey Hoeffer allegedly told a classmate that the mints would make him "jump higher."

- A student in Belle, West Virginia was suspended for three days for giving a classmate a cough drop. School principal Forest Mann reiterated the school's "zero-tolerance" policy...not to be confused with the "zero-intelligence" policy.

- Fire investigators on Maui have determined the cause of a blaze that destroyed a $127,000 home last month - a short in the homeowner's newly installed fire prevention alarm system. "This is even worse than last year," said the distraught homeowner, "when someone broke in and stole my new security system..."

Ron :)

I see we have strong canidates for Darwin awards...providing these fine examples maintain their swim across the gene pool.
