Fred - I see you tried to modify that autosignature of yours that was a 1/2 page long. I got caught by it a few months ago. Now its limited to 3 lines.

GMW,
Well here it is Thursday and Tru will be getting ready for his camping trip. I will be laying out the number of naps I plan to take and when. Won't have the car today so I have to stay home. I guess I should get the 69 out and drive it as I haven't started it for 3 months. I should go over to the dam and see how the clean up on the hills is coming along. Now that I have planned all that I should do I will start looking for reasons to not do it.
The temperature got all the way down to 82 last night. It was 106 yesterday and is supposed to be back over the 110 mark by the weekend.

Good Mooooooorninnnnng everyone
Ron - I feel your pain. Its been almost 15 hours since my last ride. And the weather - OMG - sunny and nice every day for a couple of weeks now. It got down to 60°F last night but its all the way up to 70°F now with an expected high of 74°F today and tomorrow. I cannot believe the weather here for August. Its been more like Sept/early Oct.
Fred - the "home" called looking for you. Did you wiggle out of the straight-jacket again? I thought about cooking some nice fat rats for dinner tonight, but I guess I'll have to cook the 6 pounds of corned beef for dinner, especially since I will have 4 people over for dinner. I did not think that I could catch enough rats today. Oh well, maybe later.

To lighten up the thread. Should be in the Joke thread but what the heck!
MEXICAN HURRICANE
A Category #5 hurricane hits MEXICO. Two million Mexicans die
and over a million are injured. The country is totally ruined and the
government doesn't know where to start and is asking for help to rebuild.
The rest of the world is in shock.
CANADA is sending troops to help the Mexican army control the
riots.
SAUDI ARABIA is sending oil.
Other LATIN AMERICAN countries are sending supplies.
The EUROPEAN community (except FRANCE) is sending food and
money.
The UNITED STATES, not to be outdone, is sending two million
Mexicans to replace the dead ones.

Yea, And they should name the Hurricane "Mr. Clean",

So is the hurricane going to hit New Orleans?
I heard Mayor Nagen(sp) has declared an emergency and wants the Natonal Gaurd to be in New Orleans when it hits.

I've wasted 20 years this week listening to The Democratic Chit on TV.
I have been waiting and listening for what they claim they will do for people like Ron,Warren and myself.
All they talk about though is helping "The Hard Working Americans".
What about us three that just generally have a good time ??

Subject: FW: Are computers Male or Female ?
A Spanish Teacher was explaining to her class that, in Spanish, unlike English, nouns are designated as either masculine or feminine.
'House' for instance, is feminine: 'la casa.'
'Pencil,' however, is masculine: 'el lapiz.'
So, a student asked, 'What gender is 'computer'?'
Instead of giving the answer, the teacher split the class into two groups, male and female, and asked them to decide for themselves whether 'computer' should be a masculine or a feminine noun. Each group was asked to give four reasons for its recommendation.
The men's group decided that 'computer' should definitely be of the feminine gender ('la Computadora'), because:
1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic;
2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is
incomprehensible to everyone else;
3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for possible later retrieval;
4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your paycheck on accessories for it.
(THIS GETS BETTER!)
The women's group, however, concluded that computers should be Masculine ('el computador'), because:
1. In order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on;
2. They have a lot of data but still can't think for themselves;
3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they ARE the problem; and
4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a little
longer, you could have gotten a better model.
The women won.
( NOte ) I am convinced that mine is a mixture of both.

Warren,
We are starting to get into our normal heat range now.The lowest it got last night was 80°. It was 106 yesterday with a pretty hard and hot wind blowing all day. The wind felt like the Santa Anna Winds when I sued to live down there except the temperature was so hot. And it is supposed to be in the 110+ range or cooler for the Labor Day weekend, depending on which weather forecast you listen to.
I guess Tru is happily camping now and letting the world go by. Hope he doesn't get bitten by a vicious turtle.

I'm just looking for the candidate that promises to reduce government and reduce my taxes. That's just about it, and historically, Republicans fit that bill.
I'm not so sure with the latest batch of Republicans in office. They should have continued to pound out the "Contract with America", but that kind of died out.
You want more gov't benefit - tough $hit
You want to bail out stupid people in foreclosure - tough $hit
You want to increase taxes on small businesses - you are really a stupid $hit
You want free money? Vote for Odrama - boy, what a spectacle.
Yes, Odrama can speak well ... just like Hitler. (boy, is that politically uncorrect).

Boy is it ever. Hitler was a very good speaker and he did bring us something that I doubt our Muslim wanna be next president could. The Volkswagen. NoBama hasn't had a thought that was his own in the last year.
Myself I want Jay Leno for president. He likes Turtle Soup.

I turned on the TV at 10:50 and saw the last 2 minutes of the spectacle.
Looked like that crowd of a thousand sheep that jumped off a cliff while they were following their pack leader.

He was planing to spend this weekend camping after he dropped his daughter off at college. A good chance to get away from everything for a few days. With my luck wherever I went there would be a ton of people getting away from everything too.

Spent over an hour yesterday getting all the putty out of one porch storm window. What a PITA. Now I just need to sand everything, prime the window, install new glass, glaze and paint. All this just because some idiot let the window fall while removing it during springtime, breaking both panes of glass. What a dummy.
At least it was a gorgeous day ... sunny and 73°F. And I did take a short ride after picking a bunch of ripe tomatoes from my garden. Hopefully today is just the same. Its drizzling out right now, but it looks like its going to stop.
