Ron,are you talking milleniums or centuries ?

:(

Fred,

I just got through watching some news videos of the fire around Santa Barbara and it may get into the Paradise Camp area if the 70 MPH winds keep on. My Father was a supervisor on the "Tecelote Tunnel which they drilled through the mountain to supply water to Santa Barbara and I went to school for a short time in Santa Ynez.I also love Solvang as they had a great bakery there and the town was always as clean as many people houses are. I am sure a lot has changed since I was last there. My first time there, all it amounted to was volcanoes and the mountains hadn't been formed yet. :p

So if it was only volcanoes, does that support the agruement that you really are older than dirt ?

Seriously, how far back does the water problems go in Ca. ?

wtm442 11-15-2008 02:20 PM

72 to 7 ? Are the kids using Segways?:LOL:

Its been raining so long, the solar powered lights out front are not working. Mike - send me some sun. It got up to 68°F this afternoon ... great day for a ride except a constant ride thru a car wash is not too much fun. I'll ship you out some rain.

Ron ruined it for everyone. Did you ever notice there is a date stamped on a bottle of water? Does water get old and out of date? How can you tell if it has expired? Tell us old wise person. :o :o :o :o

Well, opening day was good, chilly, but good.

It snowed big time, but we got meat for the freezer!

We will hunt a few more times before the season closes.

:D :D :D

I'm going to have to take some to HLC!!!!

It rained big time here, so all I got on my hunt was 4# of hamburg. ;)

Ron61 11-16-2008 05:10 AM

It was 84 here yesterday and sunny. No rain at all in the near forecast.

Fred,

In some ways the water problems here go back a long time. Ever since they started building L.A. there have been worries down there about water. But they just keep building more and more and there is less and less water. Now the fires they have going are really burning some of those huge multi million dollar mansions around Santa Barbara and L. A. I think the Santa Anna Winds were supposed to stop last night, but haven't seen anything so far this morning about how they are doing.
Our water problems up here started years ago with a prolonged drought and them wanting more and more water send on down river. I was watching a new show on the History channel and they think we may be headed for another dust bowl type time like in the 1930s. To much water is being drawn out of the ground for irrigation and not enough goes back in, so the water table is shrinking pretty fast. Also Asia is facing much the same thing. The next war could well be over water and food and not oil.

Ron :(

My neighbor is hunting today.

Well, it is a nice brisk 32 degrees, up from the 30 degree over night low.

Good morning!!!

:D :D

wtm442 11-16-2008 07:32 AM

Good morning y'all.

I never thought it was possible, but I've seen my first UFO this morning.

Its a really big circular blob just hovering in the air, moving slowly from east to west in the southern sky. Very strange! I just called Mulder and Scolley and they are flying in this afternoon. Our Porsche telephone exchange (911) has been overloaded with calls. Some have described it as a big "fire in the sky". Maybe its spreading from California.

I tried to get a photo, but its too bright.

trularin 11-16-2008 08:25 AM

Take your meds!

:D

392cobra 11-16-2008 08:28 AM

Maybe double up for awhile ?

Ron61 11-16-2008 08:28 AM

Warren,

Will Turtle vouch for your UFO sighting? Must have made your day. Snow is heading your way.

Ron :)

392cobra 11-16-2008 08:30 AM

Tru,I think we are the only normal people left here....and I've been worried about you lately.

Ron61 11-16-2008 02:17 PM

Hey, wait a cotton picking minute. The only normal people on this thread are me and Steve. We don't own stuffed frogs, turtles, and various other things best left unmentioned.

Ron

wtm442 11-16-2008 03:04 PM

Well, the UFO finally left the sky about 4:30 PM. Wish I could have gone for a ride, but the 50 MPH gusts and 43°F temps were a bit much.

They have predicted the fiery orb returning for 7 straight days but the high temp is only supposed to be 45°F.

I need to take a vacation. With all of the rain and the high winds, all of the leaves have been stripped off the trees. Nothing worse than wet leaves all over the roads. Whoopee!

You are the only guy I know on this thread that would name a nice innocent dog after a low-class Ho Frog.

wtm442 11-16-2008 06:07 PM

If anyone on this thread is NORMAL, I guess I'm posting on the wrong thread.:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Ron61 11-17-2008 01:01 AM

Warren,

You really need a vacation to get away from everything. Why not go to Alaska for a few months and get a JOB driving the trucks on the ice roads. That would keep you on your toes and then you would really appreciate the little cold weather that you have there.
I just wish it would get cold and stay that way or warm up and stay warm. This 43 at night and 74/80 in the afternoons is really giving me a bad cold and my sinuses aren't liking it either.

wtm442 11-17-2008 04:29 AM

Job? Wash your mouth out with soap. I'm sending TG (BB's sister) over to your house. You will never be the same after a visit from TG. :JEKYLHYDE:JEKYLHYDE:JEKYLHYDE:JEKYLHYDE
