If the temperature is 98 ºF with a 72 ºF dew point (105 ºF heat index), do you feel any heat from the side exhausts during a drive? I do not know.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Guess I'll have to wait a few days for my next ride ... tomorrow is supposed to be much hotter!!!!!

Oh praise be, Mt Shasta Goddess, I'll take the rain !!!!

Warren,
In Texas the temperature difference between the sidepipes and in the cockpit is enough that it feels like an a/c blowing on you. :)

Fred
Back when I was employed, I visited Houston maybe 20 times over the years. I'll always remember the day I stepped outside of the hotel in January, and my glasses fogged up. It was sooooo hot and humid.

If it wasn't for air conditioning, the southern parts of the USA would probably only have 1/2 the population it has now.

Got to 115 in the plant, we were asked to shut down portions of the facility to conserve on power.

So, I'm sitting in the dark at my computer working. We're supposed to get a break in the weather today with storms and cooler air.

Ron61 08-02-2006 05:04 AM

;)

It has also cooled off here for the past five days. Still humid, but not as bad as when it is 118 and humid. Thanks Warren for taking the heat off of us for a few days. Out here we can touch the side pipes and they are cooler than the ambient air temperature. :JEKYLHYDE

Ron :D

Kristen,
We are curious about something you would know all about.

Down here on the coast there are A LOT of commercials for a Bikini Zone product.Don't know if this is a local problem or not (pun intended).

Haven't seen a Thong Zone product ???

trularin 08-02-2006 08:10 AM

Fred, what are you talking about?

wtm442 08-02-2006 08:28 AM

Thank the Mt Shasta Goddess for air conditioning.

trularin 08-02-2006 11:59 AM

Haven't been to a beach in many years.

I am not sure I would be helping someone, a female, with this. Fred, you seem to have gotten into a strange pattern here. :D

wtm442 08-02-2006 12:13 PM

Time for the beach

101 and still climbing! :o :o :o

At least we do not have any earthquakes here on the right coast :p :p :p

Well, okay.I just figured that since you have a thong hanging off the rear view mirror, you would be the one with all thong related answers.

I guess it is time for Plan B. (not the safest) **)

Just wait, there coming:eek:

trularin 08-03-2006 05:32 AM

PLAN B?!?!?!?!? Oh no...Not Plan B.

Fred, what is Plan B? Did we do plan A yet?

Is there a plan C?

Ron61 08-03-2006 09:46 AM

Warren,

IF MY BODY WERE A CAR

If my body were a car, this is the time I would be thinking
about trading it in for a newer model. I've got bumps and dents and
scratches in my finish and my paint job is getting a little dull, but that's not
the worst of it.

My headlights are out of focus and it's especially hard to see things
up close.

My traction is not as graceful as it once was. I slip and slide
and skid and bump into things even in the best of weather.

My whitewalls are stained with varicose veins.

It takes me hours to reach my maximum speed.

My fuel rate burns inefficiently.

But here's the worst of it --

Almost every time I sneeze, cough or sputter.....either my
radiator leaks or my exhaust backfires!

Ron

trularin 08-03-2006 11:51 AM

That's an old one Ron.

Are you and I the only registered users?

wtm442 08-03-2006 02:58 PM

Ron
Thats an oldie but a goodie.

Left for a doctors appt and a haircut at 1 PM. It was 98 ºF when I went inside for my haircut. I came out 30 minutes later and the temp was 75 ºF. A cold front had moved thru. Unbelievable cuz there was no clouds.

Soooooooooooooooooo ... I just got back from a 3 hour tour. You can call me Gilligan

Still having problems with my headlights. No low beams. And when I click on the high beam switch integral to the turn signal, the high beams come on, but will not stay on. As soon as I release the switch, the lights go out.

wtm442 08-03-2006 03:00 PM

I just noticed that I'm listed as a Registered User.

Are there any Unregistered Users on this site?

Ron61 08-04-2006 05:19 AM

Warren,

I thought that registered was only for parolees and sex offenders.

Now serious. Is your headlight High-Low beam switch in the steering collum? I had a turn signal problem years ago and mine is all in the collum and I didn't want to tear into it unless I was sure, so what I did was go to NAPA and buy a cheap switch I could put where I could reach it. I then found the wires coming out of the collum and took the ones that went from the plug in connector and cut them, leaving plenty of wire to splice them back together and ran them to the cheap push button switch. This let me completely bypass the collum. Everything worked fine and the problem was in the connector itself, which was a lot easier than tearing the collum apart. I just took the wire out of the connector and checked the connections in it and the tab was bent. After straightening that, I spliced the wires back together and have never had a problem since.

Ron :)
