Warren,

I was sure that Word would wake you up. I just finished changing the bedding and put my electric blanket on. No more crawling in under those cold sheets for a while.

Yesterday was Frenchy's birthday and he is 2 years old now. He aged one year and I think I aged about 40 years.

Dang I thought it was fixed.

If you all do a VooDoo chant, Warren's posts will go to another site. It was working, but then, all of a sudden, Warren was able to post again.

Fred, since you have the frog army, I think you should lead the chant.

Warren, isn't that a little...kinky...asking some guy to bite you?

Just wondering.

Tru,

Have you looked at some of his latest works in the Motivational thread? I think the cold and snow is already getting to him.

Quick ... someone send me some nails so I can finish the ark.

Question ... will a 351W run on a gas and sea water mixture?

Time for some submarine racing .... boy, does that bring back fond memories.

You're going to power the Ark with a 351. What is wrong with sails as the gas stations will be under water anyway. Or snow in your case.

Dang Warren, you look your age with that white hair. I thought you said you were like 6'3" tall.

BTW, the looking glass was only a portal.

Heat wave coming this weekend, could get up to 42 degrees.

Well it was warmer here this morning than it has been being. The past few mornings it was 33/35 degrees and this morning it is 38 with some light gusts of wind. The afternoons have been great with it getting into the mid to upper 60s. Now it is supposed to rain tomorrow. Yesterday it was today and tomorrow they will push it off until Sunday. I think the Mt. Shasta goddess is using all of our rain water to make snow for Warren and Tru.

See, I told you we have bad weather here.

Shasta Lake, CA
SEVERE WEATHER ALERT
Forecast Details:
Partly cloudy skies during the morning giving way to a few showers late. High 59F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40%.

Ron,
Just heard that 7 States out East have been hit by a major ice storm including Warren's.
Ice Storms are really bad news with all the power lines it takes out.

I guess if we don't hear from him for awhile we'll know it's your fault Ron.

BTW- Going to be mid-60's here today.....warmer tomorrow, mid 70's.

Fred,

I saw some of the pictures of that ice storm on TV and it is a mess. I believe they said 1 million without power. The possible snow we were going to have here today seems headed that way. There was a full moon and the only clouds left from yesterday evenings overcast are a few very light ones far off in the East. Probably taking the snow we were going to get to Warren. In fact it is the warmest morning we have had for sometime as it was 38 and I believe they said it would be in the mid 60s again this afternoon. This should be our rainy season getting started well and so far nothing.

It's for Warren. He's the one that said all those things about Mt Shasta.

I did not say anything.

Crating one of the FEs in the barn. Getting it ready to ship over seas.

It is a brisk cool day at 25.

Tru,

Is that the 390 that you sold to some person in Germany? Since you are getting it ready to ship I would guess you found a way to do it.

As for weather, it has all of a sudden gotten cloudy here. From clear skies and sun to complete overcast and getting dark in about 20 minutes. Must be gathering more water to make snow to send to Warren. And by the way, he is still active as I have been getting e-mails from him this morning. As cold as it is there, he is probably in bed with a remote and sending them that way.

No ice storms here - but we have gotten more of our share of rain this week
and it is still raining. Glad I had my house re-shingled this year. No buckets!

Handy Man's dictionary:

SKILL SAW: A portable cutting tool used to make studs too short.

DRILL PRESS: A tall upright machine useful for suddenly snatching flat
metal bar stock out of your hands so that it smacks you in the chest and
flings your beer across the room, denting the freshly-painted part which
you had carefully set in the corner where nothing could get to it.

WIRE WHEEL: Cleans paint off bolts and then throws them somewhere under
the workbench with the speed of light. Also removes fingerprints and
hard-earned calluses from fingers in about the time it takes you to say,
''What the...??''

ELECTRIC HAND DRILL: Normally used for spinning pop rivets in their
holes until you die of old age.

PLIERS: Used to round off bolt heads. Sometimes used in the creation of
blood-blisters.

BELT SANDER: An electric sanding tool commonly used to convert minor
touch-up jobs into major refinishing jobs.

HACKSAW: One of a family of cutting tools built on the Ouija board
principle. It transforms human energy into a crooked, unpredictable
motion, and the more you attempt to influence its course, the more
dismal your future becomes.

VISE-GRIPS: Generally used after pliers to completely round off bolt
heads. If nothing else is available, they can also be used to transfer
intense welding heat to the palm of your hand.

WELDING GLOVES: Heavy duty leather gloves used to prolong the conduction
of intense welding heat to the palm of your hand.

OXYACETYLENE TORCH: Used almost entirely for lighting various flammable
objects in your shop on fire. Also handy for igniting the grease inside
the wheel hub you want the bearing race out of.

TABLE SAW: A large stationary power tool commonly used to launch wood
projectiles with the speed of a ballistic missile for testing wall
integrity.

HYDRAULIC FLOOR JACK: Used for lowering an automobile to the ground
after you have installed your new brake shoes, trapping the jack handle
firmly under the bumper.

EIGHT-FOOT LONG YELLOW PINE 2 X 4: Used for levering an automobile
upward off of a trapped hydraulic jack handle.

E-Z OUT BOLT AND STUD EXTRACTOR: A tool ten times harder than any known
drill bit that snaps neatly off in bolt holes thereby ending any
possible future use.

BAND SAW: A large stationary power saw primarily used by most shops to
cut good aluminum sheet into smaller pieces that more easily fit into
the trash can after you cut on the inside of the line instead of the
outside edge.

TWO-TON ENGINE HOIST: A tool for testing the maximum tensile strength of
everything you forgot to disconnect.

CRAFTSMAN 1/2 x 24-INCH SCREWDRIVER: A very large pry bar that
inexplicably has an accurately machined screwdriver tip on the end
opposite the handle.

AVIATION METAL SNIPS: See hacksaw.

PHILLIPS SCREWDRIVER: Normally used to stab the vacuum seals under lids
and for opening old-style paper-and-tin oil cans and splashing oil on
your shirt; but can also be used, as the name implies, to strip out
Phillips screw heads.

STRAIGHT SCREWDRIVER: A tool for opening paint cans. Sometimes used to
convert common slotted screws into non-removable screws.

PRY BAR: A tool used to crumple the metal surrounding that clip or
bracket you needed to remove in order to replace a 50 cent part.

HOSE CUTTER: A tool used to make hoses too short.

HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is
used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts
adjacent to the object we are trying to hit.

MECHANIC'S KNIFE: Used to open and slice through the contents of
cardboard cartons delivered to your front door; works particularly well
on contents such as seats, vinyl records, liquids in plastic bottles,
collector magazines, refund checks, and rubber or plastic parts.
Especially useful for slicing work clothes, but only while wearing them.

DAMMIT TOOL: Any handy tool that you grab and throw across the garage
while yelling ''DAMMIT'' at the top of your lungs. It is also, most
often, the next tool that you will need.

Nope - 6' 6 and 3/4" (ahhhh, maybe 6' 5" now due to gravity )

The looking glass ???? Are you talking about the "throne"?

Thankfully, the temperature arounf here plumited just after the heavy rain stopped. But it turned to one hell of an ice storm further north and west of me. Over 1 million homes without power ... worst hit was Cow Hampshire with almost 500,000 w/o power.

Temp got all the way up to 25°F today, but 41°F tomorrow and 58°F on Monday .... oh boy ... maybe a ride ...can't wait.

Picture in the papers are fantastic. All the trees covered with ice look beautiful, unless they are falling into your house or crushing your car.

Welcome back to the living group Brent!
