Hey Brent,

Great to see you back. Blame Warren for the bad weather. He just had to keep on antagonizing the Mt. Shasta Goddess and now all the rain we should have gotten the last two years she is using to make snow to send to him and Tru.

How about posting a picture of that big girl of yours so we can see how much she has grown since the last one?

Ron :)

Well, my type of girl. Nice and smart too.

GMW

Reading an article in the paper last night ... 2 guys tried to rob a liquor store about 40 miles away from me with one having a gun. The cashier had a carry permit and shot one of the perps dead. One shot - one dead criminal. The other guy got away.

Round of applause for the clerk with the great aim.

Darn, it is really cold and overcast here right now and they are forecasting a mixture of showers and snow. I may have to pass on taking the pups for their run and walk this morning. It just doesn't seem to be warming up at all and I believe they said the high today would be in the upper 40s. If I wanted that I would live back East where Warren does.

All the way up to 39°F here. Just waiting to watch the Pats at 4PM. Guess I'll go cook some spagetti sauce and maybe some chili for supper ... yum!

Just got up from a nap and it's 73 & sunny.Blowing like an old goat but still good enough for a ride.

Ron61 12-14-2008 01:04 PM

I just watched the 49ers lose to Miami. They won everything but the game. It is cold here and is actually trying to snow, but the flakes are very small and not thick. More like a light sleet at times. It did get up to 41 though.

78 here now - cloudy but finally no rain. I guess a week is enough.

I'm hoping to see those 74+ temps in Montgomery, TX when I get there
for Christmas. I got me a little Cobra that needs to be driven!

There is just no tellin' what might happen.:)

HI Cobra 12-14-2008 03:01 PM

I hear you Fred - I'm just feeling lucky now that you have had the snow!

392cobra 12-14-2008 03:05 PM

to give you an idea how it's going...

High today 76
tomorrow 41
tuesday 38
thursday 75

Ron61 12-15-2008 12:59 AM

What a way to start the week. It was bitter cold all day yesterday and now we have about 1/4th inch of snow on the ground and it is supposed to rain today. The rain I can take as I know we need it badly, but that snow I don't care for. If I want snow I can drive for 30 minutes and be in a lot of it.

Well it has been pouring rain for about a hour and we have a flash flood warning till 7:43 am!
How do they come up with a time like 7:43?

Joe Wicked 12-15-2008 08:43 AM

I always love the ones that say until approximately 7:43. Like the traffic reporter this morning saying the delay behind an accident was approximately 58 1/2 minutes. Way to round it off there buddy.

trularin 12-15-2008 11:35 AM

Dang, it dropped 20 degrees in two hours here.

Well you can put a 1965 390 in a 3 x 3 x 3 foot crate. I am making iron and steel brackets to anchor it to the pallet. I made a solid floor pallet.

As long as it is not dropped, tumbled or forked with, it should be great.

So, yes Ron, I am crating the 390. No, I do not know how I am going to ship it yet, I just needed to give Uwe the size of the crate...so I decided to build one.

Here is a trick question, how do you place the engine on the pallet so it is in the center of the wood? Remember the lift has two long legs bascially under the engine.

:D :D

If it has a crank and pan? how about taking the valve covers and rockers off then you could turn it upside down;)

wtm442 12-15-2008 06:03 PM

7000 posts on CC and it was over 60°F THIS AFTERNOON DURING MY 2 Hr ride to nowhere. Life is good, even when you turn on the Caps Lock key when pressing the left Shift key.

:JEKYLHYDE:p:rolleyes::LOL::):o:eek:

Ron61 12-16-2008 12:51 AM

:)

Warren,

Congratulations on the 7,000 post count. Weather here is bitter cold and we had 1" of snow yesterday and it hasn't melted. High today is forecast to be 41. I don't know if I will take the dogs for their runs today or not. I didn't yesterday morning and Frenchy sulked all day, but it was just to cold and wet to get out in that mess.

Ron :(

Joe Wicked 12-16-2008 03:02 AM

Got a little bit of rain last night, I don't think we got any of the snow they predicted if we did it all melted as it hit. Getting ready a bit earlier this morning as there may be patchy ice out there and I would rather take my time and get to work slowly before the traffic rush hits.

Ron61 12-16-2008 04:55 AM

It is 28 here this morning and now they have changed the forecast again.Back to mixed rain and showers this morning but still sunny but cold tomorrow. I don't feel anything falling but can't tell if it is overcast or not as it is still to dark. I can's see any stars, but that isn't unusual with the street lights around.

Ron
