At least you aren't like Warren and try to hide the fact. :o The weather here sure turned lousy all of a sudden. Thunder and hail last night and the thunder shook the hose it was so loud. Some light rain this morning but not much and it is supposed to clear off some today and be sunny again tomorrow. Ron  |
So,I guess with it happening often enough again, you have figured out what all the different forms of moisture are falling from the sky.
|
Yes, but we still need a lot more. The hail and that stuff we could do without as all of the trees and everything is in full bloom and it just beats them off. The lake has came up just over to about 80 feet below the top, but that 80 feet will take a lot of water as it is now starting to spread back down into all of the canyons that it has to fill. People found a lot of junk and old boats and motors when it was so low.
Ron ;) |
80 feet is one heck of a lot of water !
That culd easily take years or a few months with flash floods with all the run off that comes with it. We,Texas, were in a severe drought 2 years ago. Then it started raining and just wouldn't quit.It poured every afternoon for about 2 months. Frenchy and The Ho's loved it. Filled up every lake, plus. |
Yea, I hope Ron gets the same kind of thing. It sucked as it was always raining, but we needed it.
|
:(
No such luck. The big downpour that flooded downtown Redding three days ago won't help as it is well South of both dams and all that water did was run off down the Sacramento River. And we are now near the end of what should have been our rainy season, but the way the weather is any more I wouldn't bet on it not raining all month next month. Weird weather seems to be the norm around here the past few years. Ron  |

Ah, Monday again. Tru's favorite day. :D March 23, 2009 Madoff to Help U.S. Sell Bad Assets Legendary Swindler Pressed into Service The Obama administration, hoping to find investors to buy $1 trillion worth of so-called "toxic" assets from U.S. financial institutions, has turned to confessed swindler Bernie Madoff to mastermind the sales campaign. While White House officials acknowledged that joining forces with the jail- bound scam artist was likely to raise some eyebrows, privately they are hoping that when it comes to selling bad assets to investors, the "Madoff magic" will carry the day. "Desperate times call for desperate measures," White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel said on CNN last night. "If anyone can convince investors to buy a worthless piece of paper, it's Bernie Madoff." Under the unusual arrangement, Mr. Madoff will be temporarily sprung from his prison cell and permitted to have meetings with prospective investors to sell them on American financial institutions' $1 trillion worth of bad assets, accompanied by a phalanx of armed guards. "The guards wanted to bring dogs along to chase Madoff if he tries to make a run for it, but we felt that would undercut his credibility with investors," Mr. Emanuel said. The chief of staff added that having Mr. Madoff spearhead the sale of toxic assets would free up Mr. Obama for more pressing matters, "like appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live." In other economic news, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner said he would raise much-needed capital for the U.S. Treasury by accepting billboard advertising on his forehead. Ron :) |
Ron,
Did you hear about the very sad news about Bony ?? http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/show...98&postcount=1 |
Hey there, I don't sign on for Mondays...they just happen.
I hurt all over. I used muscles I had forgotten for a few months. Did get some of the stuff done. Anyone get your chores done over the weekend. :D :D |
Fred, I just sent Lorna an e-mail. I have enjoyed knowing him for several years and he came up with Jamo, Pat, and Turk for the big car show here one year. I believe he had an ERA that had been Jamo's or Turks before and then later on he bought one of the Ford GTs. He let me know that he and the other GT owners had been invited to come to Ford's plant and watch them put the last one they were going to make together and he enjoyed that quite a bit. I have put off going down to Fresno for the past two summers to visit him and also a couple of others that I know that live there. And I used to live there before I met any of them. He has sent me hundreds of emails and pictures of everything you can think of, including one of him and Michael Schumacher at Monaco. I will miss him very much. Ron :( |

Tru, It was a lousy weekend here. Cool and just drizzled all day Saturday then that night a huge amount of thunder and some light hail but no rain. Cold all day yesterday with wind and now it is 32 this morning. And to think that just 4 days ago I was pulling weeds and mowing in 78° Spring weather. But I figured that once everything was all bloomed out we would have a cold spell. Ron :( |
B itch, b itch, b itch
Its been sunny for the last 3 days here. Temp starts out in the low 20's and just ecks past the freeze point in the late afternoon. Guess its better than sitting under the Mt Shasta Goddess. |
;)
Yea, you are right. It won't be that much longer until we will be getting the 115° + heat and will be wishing we had some of this cool air back. I hope the fires don't get started around here again this year. Ron |

Yes, in fact I did. Well all except putting out the weed killer in the yard. It is supposed to rain so I held off. But the weeds are growing like weeds :) Good morning everyone. It was a beautiful weekend here for sure. I just hope the rain stays away for the Austin Texas weekend, this coming weekend. That is one fun trip for all who attend. |
