I took a day off from the deck yesterday. HA!

I am going to see about getting more of it tonight.

Sooner or later, it will be done...then I get to start on another project.

Well, you already have your tail lights working. Time now to start driving more. Go each time Warren does.

Tru,

Hope that you find one soon. Once you have that, what is next on the list? Besides driving the car I mean.

I am going to sell the rear Lincoln brake setup, the toploader and the power rack and pinion. Then I am going to find a flywheel and clutch, bolt it all together and "test" it.

Top speed should be 221 MPH with my setup. Not sure I would want to go that fast in the cobra, but it could.

UH, Tru,

There is that little thing with the windshield right in front of you. I don't think mine would stay on at 220. After you do your 200+ test can I have any good parts that are left?

Tru

Power rack and pinion? I could use power steering on my SPF. Who makes them?

Also, I did not know that they made 220 MPH tape. That must be like Gorilla tape, huh?????

Sorry to change the subject but what is going on with the Sony Batteries lately? I just saw that Apple is recalling 1.8 million lap tops because of the same problem Dell had when they had their big recall. Has Sony just made a bunch of bad batteries or is something else causing this?

Recall for defective batteries which can ignite and burn the laptop to a molten mass. And I just bought a Dell laptop. Oh well, guess I'll have to just use the AC power cord, and go to the Dell site and see if mine is bad. Probably is.

Got me sniffing a lot more lately.

Think I'll clear out my nostril with a ride ... its sunny and 71 ºF outside. Guess I'll have to take my jacket. Still no low beams, so driving home late at night is a dangerous option ... especially if I wear my state trooper sunglasses.

Must be a lot of people looking at that site as I can't get in right now. I was just wondering if there is something wrong with the Sony batteries or if the Apple and Dell computers have some feature that is causing them to do this.

http://www.dellbatteryprogram.com/

Just a battery problem. Nothing wrong with computer unless it emits fire

Just checked and my battery is OK. It was one of the good ones made in Korea.

Label ID was on the side of battery pak. Time for a ride. Down to 70 ºF

Warren,

That is interesting. I just read in one of my computer magazines a few days before the Dell recall about the excellent battery life of some of those brands. I guess if the computer burns up, the battery will last a long time. They must have Sony make them special for their computers and they aren't the normal over the counter type you would get. Now I know why all the tags saying to replace only with Dell, apple, etc. approved batteries are on everything.

Warren, The power rack and pinion is off of a SVT Mustang.

Paid $220 for it w/ shipping. Also have a 1971 BOSS 351 power steering pump.

Make an offer on the lot and help me out!

Don,

I see you are up. I have been working for an hour or so before I logged on. Tru must still be asleep. Either that or working on his car so he can enjoy it.

Warren,

You really have it tough. Having to wait to go for a ride must be really hard. I am so happy that our weather had cooled down into the lower 100s that it is like Winter. I have even been able to go for a few drives, but may have to work on the other car today. Need to drive it and see if I can take it over where they can put it on a lift and find out where my oil drip is coming from. It only seems to do it when I drive it and then it sits and drips as the wind has blown it all over the bottom end. So I need it hot and running and on a lift to see if we can spot just where it comes from. Not a lot, but just enough to be annoying. I have never had an FE engine that didn't drip a little oil. They hate me.

Hope you can find your oil leak. I've had my morning nap and its all the way up to 67 ºF outside.

Time for lunch and a ride!
