Flip, At least you have some nice weather. Here it is either hot as all get out or cold. Rain is what we need and lots of it at a steady pace and not a downpour that will flood everything and cause the burned mountain sides to slide into the roads and rivers. Ron |

Yes, the temperature range there is great.The occasional hurricane or downpours can be lived with. And when yo get bored you can to to your place in Texas for the nice WARM Summers.

Slice them into round sections with the skin on and drop them into a deep fryer for a few minutes just after you have taken the Turkey out. Add a taste of salt and eat all day. Ron :JEKYLHYDE |
We only put in 30 plants, this will be by hand. Not all will bare fruit, but my inspection last night showed a real nice "gold" spud.
I think we will can some and store the others. If you can keep them 45 degrees, they last a long time. I think next year we will do Pontiac redskins. They are great with butter, garlic, parsley and salt. Lightly tumbled...yeah that's good. :D |

RAIN, we got a lot of it last weekend. Over 13 inches in 6 hours Friday and Saturday we had a huge thunder and lightening storm that dumped over 3 inches an hour for about 2 hours. Really made a mess of the burned off canyon walls and the Sacramento River looked like a rolling mass of mud. It was the worst they have ever see it according to the records. And to make it even worse, the Iron Mountain Mine got over 17 inches of rain and now that toxic sludge is on its way to the lake.

the Iron Mountain Mine will never be cleaned up. All they can do is spend billions on cleaning up the toxic sludge that washes into the lake. That whole mountain is full of every kind of ore known to mankind and it will continue to leach toxic waste as long as the mountain exists. They have just built a huge dredge in Keswick Lake to try and dredge up what has overflowed that stupid dam they built years ago and stop it from getting to the pipes where they pump drinking water. This will always be an ongoing dark hole for money as they just have no technology now to clean it up and they tried once to go back into the mine with hazmat suits but could only go a little ways before it got to hot. Didn't know it was that bad. Well, the garden is done. I have to till it soon or wait for spring. I think next year I am going to try some other things, I am tired of sprouts not making it. How's the thistle? :D |

Google Iron Mountain Mine. They have been trying to find a solution to it for 20 years but just can't. The debris dam they built several years ago did exactly what everyone knew it would and filled up and is now just letting the sludge go right over it and on into the river and lake. Maybe a nuclei bomb? Ron %/ |
