Pretty soon, Earl will be tooling around and we will have reports from him and Warren. :D :D :D

I should have my new master/slave from Wilwood for the clutch today. Have to hang a high gain antennae for the church Thursday night so I won't get to put them in 'till maybe Saturday. I'll get Emily to help then. :)

Ron61 08-30-2006 10:37 AM

:)

Actually with the upcoming Hurricane season, we may see Earl go flying over. He can report on what he sees as he goes over each state. Much easier to see a lot from the air than in a car.

Ron

Ron - all the way up to 73 ºF and sun is out.

Time for a ride! Life is good when your tank is full.

trularin 08-30-2006 11:25 AM

My tank feels a little too full. :D

Ron61 08-30-2006 01:17 PM

:)

Warren,

All the way DOWN to 101 today and a light wind blowing. Just enough to make trhe dust bad.

Ron :MECOOL:

Ron - just got back from my ride. Its only 65 ºF outside.

Love this weather.

The longest distance (straight line) I have driven the Cobra is probably 40 miles this year .... and I have put over 2500 miles on it this year.

This is what I said when I saw the Cobra for sale 2 years ago ...
:p :p :p :p :p :p :p

:)

Warren,

Nice pictures but don't you think a 100+ mile drive would be more like it? As for weather, it is 76 here right now and was when I got up at 3:45 AM. Going to be a humid day for the end of August. Now for that real drive of 100+ miles it should be laid out so there are a few tunnels and bridges involved. That way we can just follow you by the news reports.

Ron :JEKYLHYDE

trularin 08-31-2006 05:55 AM

Nice pics Warren, you hadn't taken any lately, I was beginning to worry that you were slipping.

Ron61 08-31-2006 07:54 AM

Warren slipping,

Not at all. Just waiting until the rest of us can't do anything and then he brings out the pictures. But those little 40 mile sprints don't really count as drives. He has to up that to at least 75/100 miles.

Ron :)

trularin 08-31-2006 10:03 AM

Oh, at least.

:D :D

Ron61 08-31-2006 10:14 AM

:D

Yea, some of the guys on here drive farther than that in their garages.

Ron :p

wtm442 08-31-2006 12:18 PM

Darn it all to heck. Its sunny outside and 72 ºF.

Guess I have to go for another ride, especially since my tank was filled during yesterday's ride ... or was that the day before yesterday? Its getting tough to remember which ride was when. Guess I'll have to take some more pics and turn the stupid date code ON in the camera.

Its tough getting old, but this weather makes it a lot easier on my bones.
:p :p :p :p :p :p :p

Tru .... Here is a pic from last night

and here is one from 3 days ago with the Hull windmill in the background. That sucker is big ... the car is more than one mile away in this picture. But what a nice rural road. About a mile long , no houses, no side side streets, ahhhhh ... 6K in 3rd :MECOOL: :MECOOL: :MECOOL:

wtm442 08-31-2006 12:42 PM

I lied ... here is a last one for Tru. He's getting to old to slip into and out of a Cobra without a nurse, so I thought this Poncho would be nice.
