Tru,
Do you have any available or do they have to be ordered from one of the book stores?

I got my copy over the weekend.
They are ordered from Barnes and Noble, Amazon and all those other Internet book sellers.
There is an expense to providing a return policy, so I opted to not add that expense.
What do you have in mind?

Even the cops that stop by to visit me run straight to the phone and call dispatch to tell them to call them at my house as their phones and radios won't work here in this area at times. And I would only want a very basic one with none of the frills, as it would never be used unless I had an emergency and then most likely I would not be able to get a signal. I may go to Walmarts after the Holiday season is over and look at what they have.

Yea the signal is a must always that is why I recommend one of each technology because (as I am sure you are aware) the different signal types react differently to the same environment. Better chance that 1 of them will have a signal. I would suggest a flea market and get an old one that still works. You might be able to pick up a few for the price of a new one.

Well it has warmed up here and is raining this morning. Not hard but just a light, steady shower. At least it is much nicer than the 16° weather was. And this rain being light is soaking in and not just running off. The snow level is supposed to move to 6,000 feet so there won't be much snow around.

Got to start and run the cobra this weekend. Keep the oil in the valleys and the battery in a charged state.
What are you doing this weekend??

Depending on the weather I may work some around the yards. Right now it is raining and is supposed to do so for the next few days, but that could change. I need to start the 69 and run it long enough to get everything warmed up. I have rubber exhaust extensions that I can put on each tail pipe and run them out the door so the garage isn't full of that exhaust.

Wow, do you buy those or design and build them yourself?
Very cool.

Mike, I am not sure. Back last Summer a couple of people posted asking about a fund raiser and were told it was being considered and that someone was working on it. That was the last I ever heard of it. The links are a little intrusive but I guess a necessary evil. And they do help pay the costs of running the site. I belong to one car club that we pay $40 a year in dues and I hardly ever go there, but they don't have hardly any ads on that site. It does cost more than most people think to keep a site going.

Come top think of it, I haven't seen a request in a while.
Well, with the economy the way it is, maybe it was determined that holding off for a year was a good thing.

On that note though, I had a big surprise today. I got recognized for the 2nd month in a row at our Service Department monthly meeting. This time though it came with a thank you gift card where I can select a gift from a listing. Everything is valued at around $200.00. Not a whole lot for the company of course, but still it is recognition that is not handed out regularly. In fact the last time I saw this passed out was about 9 months ago. I guess I am doing something right at work to get a company award one month and a thank you gift package the 2nd month.

Well after going through everything on the gift selection, I decided to get another gift for my wife. Not a whole lot that I would want anyway, some things I do, but not exactly what they have. She mentioned the other day she needed a new watch, so I saw this one on there and decided to get it for her:

Nice but where is the camera and voice activated recorder located. And does the Internet show up on the dial?

LOL, they are nice and actually give us a selection of non Samsung products to choose from. No fancy features, just a high quality watch.

Joe,
It does look nice in the picture and I know it looks better when you can see it. Is the ring around it two shades or is that just how the picture came out?

I think it is just how the picture came out. I saw a different angle that the color was kind of washed out, and it looked even in that picture. I got notice today that it shipped already and that surprised me. I had just ordered it when I posted. Not only are the gifts nice, they are also quick with processing.
