Thanks Mike,

I am pretty much over that stuff now, just don't want to get wet and start it over. That is the first bad cold I have had in 6 years and it really was something. Now I have to go to the doctor Wednesday to see if he can cut this thing out of my arm. Then back to the dentist on the 23rd.

Monday again. Even though I am retired I still don't like Mondays. And this wet and cool weather is keeping me inside so much as I don't want to catch another cold before my visit to the doctor Wednesday. All of you have a great Monday.

Back to the Dentist today for me. At least the antibiotics cleared up the sinus infection and allowed me to spend the last week without pain.

On a different note, I tried a new recipe out of Diabetic Cooking magazine and it was restaurant quality. It was Pork and Red Bean Chili that was incredible. Very simple and only took about 45 min, including prep time. Small batch, but good since there are just 2 of us. When I get some time I will have to post the recipe.

Joe, I am glad that the antibiotics cleared up the sinus infection. Now I just hope that your teeth are ok. My next dental appointment is for the 23rd to have that tooth fixed.

Up to 8 inches Tuesday.

I'll have to check the tractors out tonight.

Ron, I can send some of this white stuff your way. Just ask.

This upcoming year is going to be expensive. I swear the price of food is up 30%.

Tru,

No, thanks on the white stuff. I have been looking at pictures of it and they say it may get worse. I can drive for about 20 minutes and be in all of it that I want to.

As for the price of food, are you calling our Govt.a liar? After all they said the cost of living never increased and that is why people on SS never got a cost of living increase. Of course they gave themselves a big one right after they raised their pay.

Ron,
I have a few old crowns that need to be replaced so I am going to go ahead and do at least 1 or 2 today before I have more problems. Hopefully I can get ahead of these this year and stop the painful ones. Having screwed up teeth sucks, but I have always had issues, and I am now finally doing something about it.

Joe,

You aren't the only one that had had problems with their teeth. I have had them since I was a kid. And some of my filings are really getting old now and the tooth around them is starting to have small holes. So I just have them done as he finds them instead of putting it off.

Joe,

How did your dental appointment turn out yesterday? Are the teeth ok?

Gee Joe, your having a time of it.

Do they do these repairs over a long period of time, or is it once ot twice and your jaw hurts for months?

I have been doing a couple a year. My teeth are really soft (as far as teeth go) so I break them easily. I have had so many chips and cracks drilled and filled, but it just comes back. I also have an underbite so I get a little gap between teeth that food gets stuck in. So last year I decided to take care of it in advance instead of waiting for pain that will come. Yesterday was a checkup on the toothache that turned out to be a sinus infection from a couple weeks ago, a cleaning and then I had 2 more of my teeth fixed. We are crowning them before they crack or rot, to help prevent it. She is also making them fit better so the gaps go away and keep food out. Up till now, it has been a case of fixing the cracks, chips, etc... to stop the pain. This year we were able to do the 2 teeth and leave me enough insurance money in case I have another issue later in the year.

Joe,

What you are doing will save a lot of pain later on. As much as I dislike going to my dentist I go at least twice a year for cleaning and X-Rays that will show anything starting to go wrong. It took me over 5 years to get my teeth to where they are now and I had to have a few removed, but it is much easier now to just have the older filings that are starting to have small holes around them fixed than it was to go through the pain of tooth aches and then have to go in tow or three times for him to get the infection out before he could do anything with the teeth.

I received this in an e-mail and thought it was kind of funny and also wish we had people in our media who had the nerve to say things like this.

Well today I go to my doctor to have him look at that place on my arm.Next week I have to take the dogs in and leave them for their yearly physical. The week after that is back to the dentist again. This will make 7 straight weeks I have had to go to the doctor, dentist, or take the dogs in. I am looking forward to the end of this month I think.

Good morning from the middle of a snow storm.

So far...about five inches.

Perfect weather for those really hardcore cobra guys who want to challenge everything -- including mid-twenties temps and flying white stuff.

I went on a rant about passing people on my blog. www.trularin.wordpress.com

until we meet again.

Tru,

At least you aren't getting what Washington and some other places are. We are supposed to have more rain tomorrow but today is supposed to be just partly cloudy. Maybe some of the water will run out of my yard.

Edit: Now off to read Tru's rant on his blog.

Back from the doctor and he said he wanted to wait to cut that thing out a sit seems to be starting to heal on its own. I go back in 3 weeks unless it breaks loose and then I will call and get in earlier. I hope that it will heal as I don't look forward to having it cut out and the arm stitched up for a week or so.

I then went into the camera store and left the tapes of The World of Collector cars that they shot here years ago and showed on TV, to have them put on DVDs. so many people have wanted to see the tapes that I am afraid they are going to wear out. Kind of expensive but they can put all 3 tapes on one DVD easily as they broke the days shooting down into three 30 minute shows for three weekends.

Thursday morning and raining lightly. Now they have changed the forecast again to rain Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. When I went to bed last night they said it would be partly cloudy Friday and Saturday with a chance of showers on Sunday. The other afternoon it was clear and the sun was shining and our TV weather person was standing there talking about all of the rain coming down. I am now convinced they must put them in a basement with no windows for the weather forecasts. But this is much better than what they are getting back East.
