I think I remember that... I think he and his Dad were working on a Falcon? but I'm also old!

Ron61 02-16-2010 04:54 AM

I don't remember it at all so that makes me really old I guess. I do remember a young man on here that I believe was taking a Diesel Mechanic school and his name was Mike if I recall correctly. He lived near the Civil War Battlefields in Virginia and West Virginia.

Thursday and we have had two straight days of sun and temperatures in the upper 70 and low 80s. Supposed to be 69 today and rain tomorrow again. But i got my yard work all done.

Ron :)

I hate to chime in on the "I don't remember" but there was a young man in PA that was taking a diesel class last time I remember him and he and his dad were going to do a cobra.

Ron has his name -- Mike. CWB?

:D

Ron61 02-18-2010 07:39 AM

:)

Tru,

That was Mike, LilCobra I think was his screen name. He lived close to a lot of the Civil War battle fields and sent me a CD with over 100 pictures of some of the most famous spots.

Ron ;)

:D

No rain this morning as they had forecasted. It looks like another really nice day right now. Lawns are mowed, flowers are blooming, and the temperature has been in the upper 70s the past three days and if it stays clear today it could be there again. Also shows clear and sunny for Saturday with a high of 70. And just last night before I went to bed they said it would be raining this morning and all through the weekend.

Ron :p

Ron,
Are you sure you are not in Texas? Around here it is "If you don't like the weather, wait 5 min".

Ron61 02-20-2010 01:27 AM

It has gotten that way here for the past year of so but the last four days have been just great. Not sure what today will be like, but the forecast was for sun and a high of 70.

Ron :)

trularin 02-20-2010 10:06 AM

Want to swap weather?

Ron61 02-20-2010 12:24 PM

:D

No thanks, these past few days have spoiled me.

Ron :p

trularin 02-22-2010 04:46 AM

I might have taken that 69 out for a spin with weather like that.

:D

Ron61 02-22-2010 05:02 AM

:)

To busy and tomorrow I have to go to the dentist. It is now showing rain tomorrow and Wednesday, but last night it showed rain for today so that forecast is just for taking up space I think. It also showed rain yesterday and it was sunny but a little cooler than it had been.

Ron ;)

trularin 02-22-2010 06:03 AM

Take it!

:D

Joe Wicked 02-22-2010 06:40 AM

We are supposed to get snow again tonight. We have already hit a record for seasonal fall this year.

Ron61 02-22-2010 06:50 AM

Joe,

So far we haven't had a snow flake this Winter. Which is sort of unusual as I live just about on the line where the normal snow stops, but even the higher elevations aren't getting what they should be, and the warm days are melting what they do have. Our weather the past couple of years has just been weird.

Ron

trularin 02-23-2010 07:33 AM

We got a nice 8 inches on Monday.

There is no way to know just how much we will get for the year, but it seems about normal.

:D

Ron61 02-23-2010 10:05 AM

Well I just got back from the dentist and they all told me it poured and hailed at their places the other night, but all this street got was enough of a sprinkle to make the blacktop in my driveway wet. The street never did get wet. It is very overcast and dark now and is supposed to be pouring rain according to the TV. But it isn't even sprinkling here right now.

Ron

Ron61 02-25-2010 05:30 AM

Thursday and we are supposed to get a break from the rain. I hope so as I would like for the neighbor to be able to finish the concrete ramp he is building for me. Also if it isn't bad Sunday, Ernie will be coming to get his cobra and take it to the wilds of Oregon. I know he really misses it. I miss mine and wish I could be healthy enough to get another one but that isn't going to happen. So I will spend my days piddling around here and remembering the good times that I had with it.

Ron :)

Joe Wicked 02-26-2010 02:54 PM

My side of town never did get that snow, but it is raining today. No real plans for the weekend other than standard weekend grocery shopping and house cleaning. I may work on my layout for a little while, and I may take a trip out to the train store to look around.

Ron61 02-27-2010 03:53 AM

It poured here most of the day yesterday but now they say the weekend is going to be sunny and in the upper 60s. That would be a nice break after the past week of rain.

Ron :)
