Warren,

Those cameras have a 10 second delay for taking your own picture. Just set it on that and push the button then go over and stand by the girls. Of course the newer and better ones also have a screening process and that might still take you out of the picture.

Ron

With so much going on in your life HLC, it is no wonder you don't complete a book every week. :D

You had to get up early enough to drive to the other side of Dallas County for the 7:30 AM meeting Saturday.

You're idea of sleeping in sounds about like Ron's and mine.:)

hey,littlecobra 09-04-2006 06:36 AM

oh yeah. forgot about that! that was FUN, as opposed to NOT FUN getting up to get kids ready for school. Saturday I got up at 5:30!! pretty early, I guess.

Are you boycotting the Dallas group??? You're home from the beach- come on out!! :p

The morning meetings present a problem for my neighbors on the west side.%/
My garage is 20 feet from their bedroom window. With my right sidepipe pointed right at it.
They claim stuff on their nightstands vibrate.

When they said that I asked if they were sure they hadn't forgot to turn 'something' off.:3DSMILE:

I might need to work on my diplomacy.

trularin 09-04-2006 10:21 AM

Fred, just give them a set of ear-muffs.

hey,littlecobra 09-04-2006 11:25 AM

push the car out of the garage, and jump start it down the driveway! :p

392cobra 09-04-2006 02:40 PM

I never had a doubt that you two would have the solutions to this problem. :)

I'm kind of surprised it wasn't suggested that I drive it over the night before. Then hitchhike back the next morning.**)

trularin 09-05-2006 04:57 AM

What? And allow you at least ten to twenty posts of how your car sat without you in it?? No way.

Ron61 09-05-2006 05:15 AM

:D

Fred,

Get a nice big carport to cover your driveway and that will lower the sound. Since I had mine put in a few years ago, my next door neighbor said he could still hear the car, but it was way down in noise. And by the time I get out of the driveway I am in the street and they all get to hear it. :o

Ron :)

You got the wrong neighbors. My next door neighbor moved out of state. She had been arrested. Owned a massage parlor. Always wondered why there were always different cars in the driveway. She was arrested for being a madam.

Waiting in line didn't tip you off ? :)

Are those photos from the car show yesterday ? Looks like a real nice day.

trularin 09-05-2006 05:34 PM

Warren, I am compelled to tell of the recent car event.

I had the Cobra on display when a nice young man came over and kept looking into the cockpit. Finally I asked him if his mom had a camera, to which she and her husband both pulled one out. I quickly lifted the boy into the driver's seat and let the flashes blind me. After I pulled junior from the car, his dad ask me how long I spent building the car. I replied;

"Beats the hell out of me...it isn't my car."

I wish I had a picture of those peoples faces.

:D

Fred, quit egging him on. He'll let us know how nice it was and what great weather he is having when it rains every day here. :D

wtm442 09-05-2006 05:56 PM

Tru

Sorry to say that our Sunday show was rained out. First time in 26 years. But Monday was partly cloudy and temps around 77 ºF. I even got some more tan. Sorry if its been raining out your way, but that means better Cobra weather in New England.

We only had about 450 cars because of the one day delay. We normally have anywhere from 650 to 800 cars. But it was still a good day. A local fire department came and gave a display with the jaws of life. Boy, they really opened up a car like a car of tomatoes.

trularin 09-06-2006 05:05 AM

Did you represent the Cobra crowd well?

Trophy?

:D

wtm442 09-06-2006 03:15 PM

Here is a link to the NE Cobra Club posting - a few pics of the Spindles Car Show.

Tru - no trophy for me - club members cannot win awards. It would look a little fishy if a club member won. We don't need the aggravation. Its was our 26th annual show with a portion of the proceeds to DARE and the Jimmy Fund.
