Well, Detroit has a lion's share of employment problems.

I am not sure I would want to live where I do if things get worse.

Ron, I think the forclosure thing is going to go on for a while, the money is gone and no one was stimulated.

Well..... some were stimulated ....

But that would start a political discussion which NO ONE wants,
so I will let it go at that.

Ron,
I have never seen such skinny squirrels as they are this year here.
They must not have recieved thier stimulas either LOL

Sorry. I couldn't help myself.

Tru,
Come on down, your welcome here in Texas.

Steve,

The squirrels around here are for the most part pretty fat. They have these pine trees and tons of oaks and get the acorns and pine cone seeds to eat. I watch them run across the power lines and just wish I had a fraction of their agility and balance. And they will just chatter away at each other when gathering food. Sounds like women in a store with their cell phones.

Mike,

I just finished looking at it. Thanks. Now if we could just get the bears here to play like the squirrels it would be something.

Thanks Steve, I am not sure I could do the heat. I liked Peter's comment, "hey, just go into the air conditioning."

I was hoping we would get a little rain last night, but nothing.

I still am having problem getting my cobra out of the neighborhood, there are some of the largest holes. I told you about the fishing in one, well yesterday evening, the neighborhood kids had a swim party in one.

My corn looks great, matter-of-fact, all of the plants look great. I may have to take time off work to can this year.

Need to get more meat with the kids living at home.

Hmm...

Tru,

It sounds as if you could use some of our rain. We had spells yesterday that it would just pour and then the sun would come out. Forecast is that it will be in the 90s next week. They can't make up their minds about this coming weekend. It is either going to rain, have thunderstorms, or be mostly sunny and into the upper 80s.

Sure can't make any plans based on our weather forecasts.

Funny thing is that could easily be my block on one of our BBQs.

Then you shouldn't have any problem with crime or looters.

Joe,

Maybe we can export you some criminals since they are to crowded in our prison system. I still don't know how many they are going to have to turn loose but one is to many I think.

Not quite all of them. A couple were having to lay down for a few minutes.

Ron,
Around here they would be begging California prisons to take them back. We have little old ladies who run thieves over for stealing their purse [url[http://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local-beat/Purse-Thieves-Dont-Mess-With-This-Grandma.html[/url]. When grandma is not a vulnerable target, Thieves tend to back down a bit. I saw a report recently that after breaking up a band of home invaders, they found that they spent several hours researching a community and it's residents for gun ownership registrations. What was interesting was over course of a year the same guys hit 4 out of 7 houses on 1 block. The other 3 were registered gun owners, the 4 hit were not.

I am Registered.
