Steve,

The weather here is still crappy. Not much rain over the weekend, just a heavy sprinkle with some showers mixed in but it stayed pretty cool. It was a good weekend to watch the races.

A nice day today. I mowed the yards, did some weed eating, and got the tractor out and mowed the upper drive and out in front. It is supposed to rain both days of the weekend so I figured I had better enjoy today while it is nice.

I thought that this guy was really good. It takes a lot of practice to get that routine down this well.

You're right, that took a lot of practice and a bunch of broken bones I would guess. Pretty entertaining though. To bad we don't see stuff like this anymore.

Well now, this answers a question I've had for a long time.

Now I know where college kids learned to do that on Spring Break.

Darn it, our weather is back to rain every day. They are letting more water out of Shasta and Keswick as the lake is only 13 feet from the top and they don't want to flood Redding by having to dump a huge amount if this rain keeps on. I am tired of rain and we have only had 85% of normal which is the most we have had in 5 years.

Ron,
Yea the rain has been bad in your area but remember it wasn't that long ago when the lake was almost empty. I still remember those pictures. It is good the lake has filled back up again.

Yes, it is nice that we have had this much rain but it gets tiresome staying in the house for days at a time. The lake has a lot of debris in it from the water getting this high and washing stuff down that has been laying there for years. If we could just depend on next Winters rains being the normal amount it would really make it easier for them to control the lake levels. But just as sure as they let a lot out and lower it, the rains will stop again for a few years and it will be really low. At best, it is a guessing game about how much to let out and how high to keep the levels.

Yea that true. The Corp of Engineers here works on the lake levels all the time. Right now we are still in good shape but the hot months are just now getting here. It was 83* today and beautiful. IT won't be long and it'll be down right hot.

It was cool here yesterday and not much rain.Got down to 37° at night which is a big drop from the lows of 50s that we have been having. This morning it is cloudy and in the low 40s with a pretty stiff wind blowing. Two days ago it was sunny and in the low 70s and all day long they showed on our weather that it was raining hard here.

The last two days have been really bad here. Yesterday it was cold, the wind blew like a hurricane, then it poured rain and suddenly stopped and got very still with the sky looking really weird. It looked like it does in Kansas and other places just before a Tornado and you could feel the electricity in the air. A few minutes later we had a violent Thunderstorm and after that it poured rain for about 3 hours.

It rained hard all night and is still coming down hard this morning and that wind is really blowing things around. There is about 20' distance between one end of my house and the neighbors house and that ares is about 6 inches deep in water until it hits where I sloped my side up when I built my house. I am really happy now that I hauled the dirt to do that as it is half way up the foundation of his house.

Darn Mike,

I was about ready to move back down there. The wind here is really hard now and I keep expecting to see that big Digger Pine across the street vanish from site. They don't have a deep root system and as much rain as we have had it is really leaning out over the street. Fortunately it is on a cross street and will hit another house and rip out all of the power lines if it does fall. It belongs to a neighbor across the street and he had one out front that was leaning over toward my house and I keep telling him if he didn't have it removed it was going to cost him a fortune when it fell and he had to pay for a new house plus the utility lines. He had it taken out and they measured it at 114 feet tall.

Computer modeling gives the time. Like 3 minutes really matters. Been really windy in Texas, but no rain.

The wind and rain here got really bad yesterday. The wind blew so hard that it blew over about 250 feet of chain link fence they had put up to keep people out of where they are building the new police station. And the rain was like a monsoon. Water was about 6 inches deep around my neighbors house and on his foundation and his front yard looked like a small lake as it was around 3 inches deep. So far this morning the wind isn't blowing and it isn't raining right now but the forecast is for rain the next three days. When daylight arrives I can go look in my yards and see what I have collected from the neighborhood. I wish there would be a 2012 Boss 302 Mustang in the junk.
