Thanks guys. As I told the project manager, if there is one thing I am good at, it is customer service. Now on to day 2.

Hey Joe,

How are you enjoying your time in San Francisco? Do you have any time to get out and walk around some and see the sights? If so, try to make it to Alcatraz and at least Coit Tower as you can get some great pictures from the tower.

Ron,
Unfortunately no. For the week so far, it has been 30 work hours for me and that was at the end of Tuesday. I have been so exhausted each night that I just finish my reports and crash. I didn't even make it down to Fisherman's Warf yet. I don't know what today will bring, but it will likely be a 12 hour day today to wrap the show up, so I will see.

Joe,

Good luck and I hope this helps you get the promotion that you should have had a long time ago. As for the knowledge some of the other vendors showed, that sounds like walking into one of the stores here and asking a question about a computer they are selling. The sales person will get the tag hanging by the computer and read it to you. They don't even know how to set one of the display computers so people can see anything more than the sign of how great Windows 7 is.

Thanks Ron. It all went well I think. I did get one bit of surprise. One of the team members that I worked with from Google actually told me that I went above and beyond anything I should have ever done from them, and I thought the whole time I was doing my job as a Customer Support Engineer. He said he was going to be sure to tell the Project Manager from Samsung that I was an excellent help and well beyond anything they ever expected from Samsung. He actually told me that he would love it if I would come back next year, so we will see. I hope I helped secure Samsung with them as a preferred supplier. I couldn't have asked for a better compliment that is for sure. I am hoping I get more opportunities to do more stuff like this. This was a lot of work but it sure was fun and exciting. Would have been nice to have a couple more days in SF, but I am ready to go home too.

Joe,

That is great and I am happy to hear that everything went so well. When you are CEO of Samsung, remember all of us little guys.

Oh, well whats a day or two. Once you are CEO you can then run them into bankruptcy, take your $20 million bonus and live happily ever after.

Yep that is pretty much how it is done. Sitting at SFO delayed due to weather in Dallas. I guess there is nothing like getting paid to suit here and play on my tablet.

Joe,

Don't eat the food there unless it has improved a lot. I used to have to spend hours there when I was working and made the mistake of eating at one of the spots in the terminal. After that I killed time by going into the arcade section and then back through the scanners and carrying a big book that had circuit pack schematics in it. Every time through the security people would look through the book, ask me what that stuff was, and then ask me if I understood it. One of them after looking at some of the book told the other one that he was glad he was to dumb to have to understand that stuff and could just be a security guard which required only a little thinking.

Lol. I are at the hotel but I am probably going to have to get something for lunch as I won't get back as early as I planned.

Joe,

I hope the trip went smoothly and that you have some time to rest. I always had a hard time adjusting to the jet lag and I flew across the country at least once a month it seemed. Also wish you well on the glowing reports that you got and I hope they help you with your advancement. If you need a flunky to carry your briefcases and all, remember me. Also remember me when you start getting those large bonuses.

LOL, wow posting on my phone made it look like a 3rd grader did it. I tried to type I am at the Airport and got I are at the hotel. First day back at the office and I am swamped. Just breaking for lunch now. I have to try to get a few more things done today and then I am trying to get out early. I already had 11 hours of overtime before I came in today, so I really don't need the hours.

Joe,

What you need is a good restful weekend. It is hot and humid here today and I have quit working in the yards for the day. Did some weed eating and then went to Redding to get some ink for the printer. One person told me to go to Walmart as it was so much cheaper. Well the computer store that I normally go to is right by Walmarts so I went into Walmart and looked at the ink and thought that is ridiculous. I went next door to the computer store and got the same ink, HP black, 2 cartridges, for my 7350 printer for $16 dollars less than Walmart wanted for it.

Wow, what a change in the weather. It was in the low 80s and humid yesterday and is in the upper 40s and raining this morning. I hope the rain will get rid of some of the pollen that is in the air and also settle some of this dust for a day or so.

Amazing four days of raining. It rained each day.

I am thinking of trading the cobra in on a boat...the way it is raining, Noah will have nothing on me.

Tru,

Last night we had a tremendous Thunderstorm with about 20 minutes of very hard hail. It then poured for a while. This morning it is just misting but the forecast is for showers today and tomorrow and another big Thunderstorm Wednesday. This going from the 80 and humid to the 40s and cool overnight is getting old fast.

This weather here is unbelievable. The past three days it has poured, hailed for about 20 minutes, wind has blown, and it has been in the upper 40s. Now it is supposed to start clearing off today and be into the low 80s Thursday and Friday. Nearly everyone around here has a cold or is sick. These overnight radical temperature changes are like none we have ever had before and here it is the latter part of May.
