I knew there was going to be a joke about using the aspirin, but it really works.

The heck with the sunflowers, I'm going for a ride. Have to check and see if any good car shows today. Only 58 ºF now, but supposed to get all the way up to 78 ºF. Nice and sunny. No rain. No snow. Saw on the news last night that they had snow in Utah and N. Dakota. Guess Michigan must be next. Ha Ha.

Got the big thumbs up from 2 priests outside the church last night as I drove by. While I was taking the sunset picture, the car drew a crowd of 4 different cars and about 10 other guys walking in the park.

Time for breakfast. Goooooooood Morning Mt Shasta Goddess!

Tru,

Only if they have a head ache. His looks more like stomach trouble.

Warren,

Enjoy the short time you have left of nice weather. Ours is just starting to get to where it is nice to be out in.

Fred,

I hope that you get the rain without the flooding. They had flash flood watches down in the Riverside and L.A. area a short time back but nothing bad happened. Send some of the rain to Warren.

welllll, pretty intense rain for about 30 minutes, but the driveway is already dry, and it didn't fill up the pool!

Wow, we are all zapped! The b-day party was, well, good but wild. Warren, you would have been nuts!!
The harley dude next door started up while the girls were learning a cheer in the front yard, and that got their attention....

getting ready to wrap presents for the 'family' party after church. I don't wanna go to church, for sure.

Then this evening we have Adventure Princess Induction (the old YMCA Indian Guides/Princess Program)- new name.

It'll be nice and steamy. ugh.

We went to a court of Honor for an Eagle Scout last night. Gave me some good ideas for Peter's potential ceremony/display, in hopefully just a few months. When that was over, we went out to dinner, late, with the girls, and then I went to pick the boys up from the b-day party they went to, at 10:30. Bout near ran out of gas in the Suburban, so had to stop and get gas, even. By the time I got home, it was 11 and man, what a late night!

Did I mention I had ANOTHER b-day party at 10:30 in the morning, out in Farmer's Branch, about 30 minutes from my home???? It was a long day! Next weekend SO FAR doesn't seem this busy.

gotta go. hmmm. wrap presents, shower, church. I am taking a nap this afternoon!!!!!

Kristen

Kristen,
Sounds like you have enough going on to ALMOST keep yourself out of trouble.

Got a question for you.
Do you print out your own pictures from your digital camera ?

no. (short answer)

The only pictures I take with the little digital are the car events. Generally, I leave the event, (breakfast, lunch, show, etc) and head straight to WalMart Neighborhood Market, and slide the memory stick into their machine. Select the pics I want, and zip them over to their machine. I don't use the 'instant' Kodak kiosk, because I really believe the pics will last longer if run thru the chemicals. Now, on OCCASION, I have printed from my computer at home, on photo paper, with my HP printer. I have HEARD if you use the same company's product- printer, paper, ink, etc., that will prolong the life of the photo. I guess we'll see. Next time I bring my car book to an event, I'll show you exactly which ones I printed at home. (not many- usually just to fill an empty space I missed printing at WalMart).

I'm from the 'old school' of photography- let the photo 'set' in the chemicals!

(I went to Skyline High School for photography cluster my Sr. year)

so there you have it. short answer and long answer!

gotta go!!!

$.19 or so a piece. I think.

worth it to me, because of the time, and to print at home etc. all takes awhile!

Kristen - glad to hear you survived the onslaught. Was sunny today with temp about 81 ºF. Therefore, since the Mt Shast goddess has turned into a wimp, I had to take a long 3 hr drive today.

Weather channel predicts another 6 sunny days in a row. And gas prices keep falling.

Fred - if you print your own photos at home, use quality paper and wait a week after printing before you put it behind glass in a frame. If not the ink will still be wet and cling to the glass and wrinkle within a year.

Sorry Ron and Tru - no females today. If or when we run out of gas, all I'll need is a 200 foot extension cord .....

Nice picture Warren. I don't suppose that you climbed the tower to make sure there was electricity there did you? Your weather has really been exceptional for quite a while now. And now that you have insulted the Mt. Shasta Goddess, start running.

Glad to hear you all survived the weekend.

I was in the middle of the trans swap and discovered I do not have a pressure plate. Yikes!

Well, maybe it will be done before the snow flies.

Warren, here is wishing all the best weather. Not to you of course, but...

Tru,

Wow, my eyes are bad but even I can see something as large as a pressure plate. I can imagine the frustration of having everything going well and then suddenly discovering that you are missing a minor part.

Talking

Prayers for Madisyn and Tru. Love those senior moments ...

Forget the aspirins for the sunflowers Tru, take two and get some very needed rest. Are you like the drunk who called the police and reported that someone stole his steering wheel ... after he got in the back seat of the car?

All right you yahoos, I have two pressure plates on the shelf, they both fit big I/O toploaders. I thought I had a third one for the smaller input, but I didn't.

This is not a senior moment.

Tru,

Yea right. You do things the Americian way. Never check to see that everything fits before starting assembly. Never read instructions for any reason as they just confuse the issue. Shrink one of the big pressure plates.

From my experience with our Epson printer the price is about the same at $.19 per 4x6. With the durabrite inks they are supposedly guaranteed not to fade for 100 years. Independent tests seem to confirm this. Epson and Canon use pigments in thier ink so they are permanent. I have run pictures under water with no ill effects at all except I was a little rough on the paper with a paper towel when I dried them off. There was a good article on CNET.com a while back onthe different inks. I have some that are years old and do not appear to have changed.
