Well, it isn't the heat, maybe the fires. They frown on you burning the property during a burn ban though.

Sounds like y'all need to slow up on rolling around naked on the ground until you get those chiggers under control.

I really don't like chiggers !!!

I got ate up with them real bad many years ago and and itch & scratch now just thinking about them.

Joe,

We have so many fires here that it has been weeks since the sun has been really bright. But I remember as a kid back on my GrandFather's farm in Arkansas just getting covered with chiggers and ticks. How I hated those things. I have heard some people say they have seen some ticks here but I have never seen one in all of my hiking in the canyons and scrounging through the brush to get to the old mines and stuff. And I don't miss them at all.

Well I hope that all of you had a great weekend and made it through safely. The weather here has actually cooled off some and the smoke has finally cleared out but I think my vocal cords are permanently scarred as I can't get over the hoarseness.

Fred, if you watch Duck dynasty maybe you should warn Frenchy about getting close to them. They had a big Frog Leg dinner on one of the shows.

Was busy here. Got a few more things done around the house and did a little Dove hunting. Got problems with my shotgun cycling 2 3/4" shells so I gotta figure out why.

Joe,

When are you going to post some more pictures of how much more you have accomplished?

Hey Joe,

How are things coming along? I hope that you will soon be caught up enough to start doing some of the smaller stuff that you left to do last. But as you know, the work is never done, just slows down when you get tired.

Yea this heat has kept it slow. I the mowing and most of the trimming done. I need to rent a brush mower to finish a little of it. I trimmed some of the dead tries down as well, but have more to do there. Work is really going to slow down now though since my vacation is over and I have to go back to working 12 hour days.

Hi Joe,

Well how are things going now? I know the 12 hour days will slow things down but the weather should start cooling off soon. Ours has dropped a lot the past few days. Post some pictures when you have them.

Hi Joe,

Well are the 12 hour days starting to get you tired? It is getting a lot cooler here now and I have had to run the heater the last two mornings.

What is Fred doing these days? I never see him posting any more. I am sure that Tru is busy as he can be.

Yea after 2 weeks back from vacation, it is starting to feel like I never took 2 weeks off. This week has been shorter days though. After 4 days, I only have 44 hours instead of 48 hours.

I haven't talked with Fred except for on here in quite a while now. I actually haven't talked with anyone from the local group in quite a while. I think it has been over a year since I went to a meet. I need some relaxation really bad.

You need to take a day and go to one of the meets and forget all the work for a few hours. Talk Cobras and Mustangs and just have fun.

Yea, I know. Now I have been spending my Saturday mornings out hunting and that is a great relaxation for me. I need to get to work on finding a lease.

Joe,

What do you hunt for? We could send Nomad down as a guide.

Right now it is dove, but haven't gone out in a couple of weeks. We need a lot of rain or the duck season is going to be awful. I also want to get a little bit of boar and deer hunting in this year.

Well we have had just enough rain to make the deer hunting really good. Not to wet and the dry stuff is dame enough that you don't make a lot of noise when walking through it. My neighbor is really crying as he wanted to go and has hurt his back and can hardly walk.

Hey everyone. I hope you all are OK. I am so busy I cant keep up & I am loving every minute of it.

We just finished completion on building the third church and now have two more in the works. I have a restaurant, 4 new homes and two complete home remodels to work on & adding a second story to a home I built about fifteen years ago.

Guys I just turned 52 last month, our 25 wedding anniversary is on the 15th of this month and I made an executive decision. I am going to get re-baptised later this month. God is calling me back and there is no way I am going to let Him down again.

Thanks Ron,
We have had more than our share of attacks over the last few years for sure but each day we are above the daisies is a good day.
