Hey Joe & Fred,

We are having nice weather now and I took the 69 Cobra out for a run yesterday. I posted the video over on our site. Going to the link and full screen really lets you see just how narrow and curvy the old road to Shasta Dam is.

We are supposed to have nice weather all week but that is yet to be seen.

Well we are having weather in the upper 60s and 70s right now so I took the Coupe for a longer drive yesterday. No videos as I just drove down the freeway. I did have to spend about 15 minutes at the gas station where I filled up talking to people and letting them take pictures. All in all an enjoyable day.

Here is a video that I found on You Tube and I can't blame the woman for laughing. This guy is proof that having a lot of money doesn't make you intelligent.

Joe,

The weather here has been unreal for the past few days. Except for some hard, cold wind, it has been like Summer. It is supposed to be close to 80° today and tomorrow and I have been getting in some driving. I drove over to Keswick Dam yesterday and that road is really getting rough. More suited to an off road vehicle than a car and that is why I drove so slow.

Hey Fred,

Here is the 69 Cobra on the old road to the dam. Do you wish you had yours back.

I sure do. Here in the next week or two when you are too old to drive it,please ship it out my way.
84° yesterday and mid 50's today. You'd think it was winter or something.

Fred,

Your weather changes like ours is doing. It has been in the mid 70s the past few days and windy as all get out at times. Today is supposed to be 74° and I hope no wind.

Come on out here and you can drive the Cobra. Just have to be careful to not lose it in a pot hole.

Fred,

I got to see this in action one year when I was working up in the Donner Pass area. I doubt if Texas has anything this big to clear their rail lines.

That is one very impressive machine !

Don't you know the Donner Party would have liked to have seen that coming over the Pass. Some maybe more than others.

Fred,

I am sure they would have loved to see something like that. I have hiked all over that region including what is left of the old road they built by falling trees and laying them sideways to pull their wagons up the mountain and it is a rough place in Winter. I have seen snowbanks along the highway above Donner Lake so high that when driving you can't see the tops. It is like going through a tunnel.

Good one Fred. The TCC should make that their official song.

OK, I am going to try to post a link to a video again. For some reason when I post the link and don't even use the [yt] tags, the video has been embedding in the post anyway.

Question

Well that never worked so I won't post the last video that I made this weekend. I never had a problem posting just the link before. Wonder what has changed.

Hi Tru,

It has been quite a while since I have seen you posting. I put a video or two of my Coupe in this thread on the page before this one I believe it was.

The 69 Cobra is still running very well. That little camera that the guys bought me sure works great.

Ron, saw the video - I would say you were enjoying that gas pedal - LOL.

I have -22 this morning, so no cobras on the road until spring.

Tru,

We are having temperatures ranging from the mid 60s to mid 70s and it has been that way for a while. They say there is a slight chance of some moisture the first part of next month but didn't sound to sure about that.

Wow - time flies when your having fun.

It was 3 this morning. Got to work it was 7. Might hit double digits by mid day.

Been shopping for 351W engines - nothing seems to excite me as there seems to be a lot of people promissing the world.

Guys, got a strong feeling I will be in London this year - any of you going?

Tru,

I won't be going to London but I have been thinking about going to the Texas get together as several of the people on our site are going. If I can manage it I will fly down and ride with one of the guys there. Good luck on getting your Cobra to London.

Well our great weather continues and it is supposed to be 85° by Tuesday. I have taken both cars out for drives and made a video of them. If anyone is interested they can see them on You Tube by typing my name in the search bar and they will come up at the top of the list.
