Question???

So I came across a few Chassis and Body Combos for sale. Plus a roller with body. I believe them to be older, I was unable to locate any makers marks or tags. Also included in the purchase would be a Mold and Plug to make bodies/doors/trunk lid/hood. I guess my question what would be a fair offer or price on the whole lot?

I can't answer that but you may get more answers if you post this in the Cobra Talk Forum along with some pictures.

I don't make post just for the count.

I have some stainless steel side pipes for sale if anyone needs some.

What brand, what did they come off of or are they new. Ceramic coated? Flange or slip on? And last question so far, what are you asking?
Thanks, Ron 870-688-1636 or ronthomas@cox.net
Maybe we should consider naming this site to the "Ron" chat room!

Speedo problem

Hi Ron,
I have a problem for the group. I have a C4 automatic in my Cobra. I also have a Lokar speedo cable with reverser. The speedo drive gear is 7 tooth. After doing the calculations, I needed a 17 tooth driven gear. The problem is, the speedo isn't working. To me, the driven gear does not seem to be engaging the drive gear correctly. The speedometer just kind of ticks off of 0.
Any thoughts??????

Sold those 15 years ago.

Better ask somewhere else. Take a look. In recorded time the predominant question is "is anyone home". To which the answer is, well, null.

I kind of wanted to explain my absence.

I don't recall posting anything since around the end of 2021, as I had cirrhosis of the liver.

I had a liver transplant on April 4th, 2022. I'm pretty sure I got the day right. Things did not go well. They tried a shunt - where they diverted part of the blood flow around the liver. I got a blood infection that night that nearly killed me. My liver rapidly got worse, but they couldn't do the transplant with the blood infection. Long story short, I finally got a liver. There are months I have little memory of. During all the liver issues my kidneys were damaged by diuretics, and I had a kidney transplant in December or 2022. From there I started to improve.

I am feeling good now, but I now have COPD and Diabetes. I have never gotten my strength back. I still need to work on that, but it is difficult with the COPD. I feel fortunate, and I am grateful to be alive.

Anyway I plan to start posting again. At least now and then.

Darn you really went through a rough time there but it is good that you are doing better now. Best of luck and I hope that everything continues to improve.

OK, just testing to see if I can get this to post without trying two or three times.

twobjshelbys 02-13-2024 09:56 AM

Wow, this dead but often resurrected topic is now 2 away from 14,000 replies.

Ron61 02-14-2024 04:40 AM

Tony,

I never noticed that as I was just trying to see if I could get a post to go in without all of the problems I have had lately. There used to be a Test Forum here but I have forgotten how to get to it.

Ron
