Well, I'm not a happy camper. Todd Bauman ( probably spelled that wrong, sorry ) is organizing a color run and I was hoping to tag along. Not going to happen.
Change in subject, a supplier was in this morning and well, he notice my wallpaper on my screen and he has told me of a friend of his that has an original 289 Shelby slab side, white. I didn't pry, but sounds interesting.
He is from Oregon. I was going to ask him more about the car, but ran out of time. Hmmmm............
FedEx is the only company that has: Delivered my Cobra seats to Texas, I live in Michigan. Delivered a case of prodcut to another comany in another city and had the balls to tell me to go get them. Refused to deliver because the snow was too deep, so I drove to the depot and get my stuff. Ran over my wood pile four freekin times. Got stuck in my drive and as the guy is trying to get loose, the UPS guy drives in, delivers more stuff, and leaves.
In general, they haven't got a clue.
My rant, sorry to any FedEx people who own Cobras and are reading the post.
Warren, what was the post Jamo fixed? DETAILS!!!!!

Tru,
Your Fed Ex experiences are like some here. It seems to depend on which driver runs this route more than anything. Once they stopped and tried to deliver a big box to me and I didn't have anything ordered so I told them it wasn't mine. We looked at the address and name on the box and it should have gone to some person in Anderson, a small town about 15 miles south of here. The Fed Ex driver told me if I didn't sign for the package, they would send it back as not accepted. I asked her why they couldn't take it back to Redding and send it to the correct person in Anderson. She said it didn't make any difference who refused delivery, once she entered that in her log the package goes back. That don't even sound reasonable to me, but I didn't sign for it and I wonder if the person ever got it. I always ask when I order anything who they are shipping it with and if they say Fed Ex I tell them to cancel the order. I am sure they aren't that way most places or they couldn't stay in business, but here it is like going to Reno and nearly everyone around here uses UPS. and they have their problems at times too, just not like Fed Ex in this area.

Earl,
Is that the size gas tank you are going to have on your Cobra? Mine is just a 16 gallon one and I do wish it was a little bigger at times. Good thing I get 30 miles to the gallon.

Ron,
I gave him a call to relay your sentiments.
I told him you didn't care how ill maintained and cared for his Cobra was. That you would still like it,basketcase or not.
He got rather excited at this. Not in a good sense.
I got the impression that he would rather not hear from me again.
Maybe I didn't word it quite right.

Fred,
Thanks for trying. Now I guess I will have to put up with my wreck for a while longer. Or if I can find an original that they will sell, can I have them send you the bill?

That's a bigger than average truck, Earl, do you need a truck that big, or are you compensating for something?

The post that was removed was scary. It was from a member with over 1000 posts but it might have been a hoax. He was ranting about how his son hates him because he would not let him do some shooting with his guns. At the end of the scary paragraph he stated that because eveyone hated him, maybe it would be better if he just killed himself.
Maybe Jamo will delete this post too.
OK, Just woke up from a nice 3 hour nap. Guess I'll have a late lunch, do some gardening (got to plant a sleeve of hardy mums I picked up for a song) and then
GO FOR ANOTHER RIDE
Unlike the post that was deleted, my Cobra is "much more better" that any psychiatrist. Pics to follow later.

Tru,
What are you going to hunt for? Pressure Plates?
Earl,
You have to get your Cobra in the 30 mile per gallon range and that way you don't have to worry about gas stations so much.
Warren,
Thanks for the info. about the post. And you really don't have to post any pictures of your psychiatrist. We all know that you aren't crazy???????

The post last night read like it was the teenage son writing it,pretending to be the dad.
Jamo didn't believe it was the dad either.

Fred, is this or was this someone we all know here, on the lounge?
I mean, if this was truly a cry for help, shouldn't we try to see if it was BS or does this guy need help.
Before you all decide how much help this person needs, lets try to be a little more compassionate.

No,I don't remember the CC posting name ever posting on this Chat thread. He does on other threads and GasHoles.
It wasn't a 'member' that posted that.It was his son.Very upset and angry.
I too hope nothing bad happens.
Jamo had no doubt that it wasn't the member.

tru- I wouldn't worry about the post. I saw it, and although it was by someone very angry, I'm SURE Jamo would alert the true member, and let him know what was posted. I would send a pm to him, but frankly, I'm sure he has enough to deal with, and I'm assuming and assured Jamo or Computerworks will alert him.
Children say a lot of mean things to their parents. I hope it all works out.
Warren, great shots!! I can't even get excited to drive either car right now. But, I always have the excitement in the back of my mind of what next adventure awaits me.... Run n Gun should be awesome!!!! I can hardly wait!!!
Driving that far is a little daunting- haven't gone that far with the trailer yet.
gotta go. David is out on business tonight (even wore a suit and tie to dinner!!!!) I need to finish the dishes, and get the girls in bed.
seeya!

Warren,
Those are great shots and will give you a lot of comfort when you have 6 feet of snow outside this Winter.
