All three of you enjoy your Winter. You can pick which one you wnat to be.
The Three Little Pigs
Three Little Pigs went out to dinner one night. The waiter came and took their drink order.
"I would like a Sprite," said the first little piggy.
"I would like a Coke," said the second little piggy.
"I want beer, lots and lots of beer," said the third little piggy.
The drinks were brought out and the waiter took their orders for dinner.
"I want a nice big steak," said the first piggy.
"I would like the salad plate," said the second piggy.
"I want beer, lots and lots of beer," said the third little piggy.
The meals were brought out and a while later the waiter approached the table and asked if the piggies would like any dessert.
"I want a banana split," said the first piggy.
"I want a root beer float," said the second piggy.
"I want beer, lots and lots of beer," exclaimed the third little piggy.
"Pardon me for asking," said the waiter to the third little piggy,"
But why have you only ordered beer all evening?"
You're gonna LOVE me for this....
The third piggy says -
"Well, somebody has to go 'Wee, wee, wee, all the way home!

Just came inside for a few minutes. It is just 81 here and really nice. I have a ton of leaves to get raked up and disposed of. And the guy is supposed to be out later this afternoon to look at the drip on the 69 Cobra to see if he can decide what to do. Darn, I hope the intake doesn't have to be pulled. I don't know why Ford had to make the FE Engines so it is so hard to pull the intake.

Fred
Try going for a ride with cloudy skies and temp of 52 ºF. Thank God for gloves and woolen cap.
Did anyone watch the Busch series race last night? That was a great race. Hope the Nextel cup race tonight is as good.
Fred - what was that posted list?
Ron - my heart goes out for you - only 81 ºF. I'll send some Santa Anna winds your way via FedEx.
Got down to 34 ºF last night and probably colder tonight. May have to turn on the heat if this keeps up.

If you click on the "replies" count, now at 1.644,it shows who and how many replies they made for that thread.
The coldest it has been for a ride was 25*.
I almost got chilled on that one. It was for one of our monthly meetings. We have had quite a few meetings where it was in the 30's.
If it isn't just pouring rain,we drive the Cobras to the meeting.Tempt doesn't matter.
BUT today when I went out for a ride is was 74*.

Warren,
If you send them via Fed Ex they will probably wind up in New York. When I lived at Santa Barbara I used to get really tired of them. Somewhat over cast this morning and just 51 degrees right now, but I think they said it should be around 80/84 this afternoon. We are having just great weather the past week, so now I suppose the rains will start soon.

Enjoy your weather. Its only 37 ºF now and only going to 55 ºF this afternoon. There is a big Halloween car show today about 15 miles from my house. May have to put on 2 hats and gloves.

Warren,
It sounds as if your weather is really starting to cool off. Just when ours is getting really good for rides.
Enjoy the car show. Are you going to dress your car as a pumpkin?

Tru,
I don't know for sure when the Run and Gun ends but think it may be today or within the next day or so. What did I miss? What is the donation you are going to work on?

Every year we put together a large donation for a high school. I think this may be the last year...who knows.
It's lots of fun for the kids, we do not give money, we give technology. Each box is like a christmas present.

Tru,
The stufff y'all give,is it for the school or a students own personal use ? I.E.,does it end up being owned by the school or student (s) or is it sold by them to raise cash ?
Very nice thing to do from them.

I give them a release so they can do what they want.
I understand the students help with everything, so it is like Christmas.
Especially when we give computers, they love computers and monitors.

Tru,
That is a great thing you are doing. I wish we had something like that around here but no two people will agree on anything, and the ones that have money won't put in over $10 dollars for any type of school aid. Unless of course they can have 10 minutes on the TV telling about their business and all that crap. It just ended what they had here a few years ago. I have given several computers, monitors, and printers to the schools, but can't afford to give them all they could use.

The car club I belong to donates to different charities each year. Every year there is a discussion on what we should donate to the local high school, and every year its a check!
Nobody returns money and one size fits all!

Strange thing is, the local High School doesn't want anything to do with my donations. The high school I use to teach at didn't want anything to do with the stuff either.
So, I called the state and they gave me a list. This school I donate to was on it.
I add the release so they can trade with other districts. One year I gave them in the donation, 20 miles of fibre optic cable. They traded that for something else and as it went, it ended up a 100 miles away...at another school.
This is our fifth or sixth year. It will probably be our last, we just do not have the time and resources. People do not want to give anything away ( technology ) and we have the worse employment, housing starts and number of poor. Oh Well, we do what we can.

Tru,
Your local economy isn't the only one hurting. We only have basically minimum pay jobs around here any more as clerks at the stores and even some of them are closing. And as for housing, the number of For Sale signs grows daily it seems as the big real estate bubble here busted big time and the real estate companies are stuck with a big amount of over priced houses and are trying to get the owners to lower the prices so they can get rid of their big log of listings. I believe the paper last month said the number of housing permits was down by around 48% from last year.

Yea, I should have sold when my place was valued at three times what it is worth. Oh well, I will just hang onto it and live in one of the old mines around here.
