Ron,
We don't need the Shasta goddess - we already have Pele who had a fit
a few weeks ago and shook things up!

Tru,
I just received my December issue of PC World and they have quite a write up about LCD TVs. You can go to www.pcworld.com and read about what they have to say. They cover them pretty well and give some different resolutions that you might want to look at.

Flip,
I forgot that you have your own version of the Mt. Shasta Goddess. If we could get her and Pele to work together we could sure make Warrren's driving weather miserable.
It is cold here today but mostly sunny. Temperature was 39 this morning and high is supposed to be 77, but yesterday they said rain today through Saturday. Now the rain has been pushed back to Saturday through Monday.

Earl,
You will be driving that Cobra soon. If it was just a little warmer I would take mine out but this chill is just to sharp. So instead I have raked leaves, and paid my property taxes, TV bill, and the registration on the 69 Cobra. Just three big bills left now for this month. Oh and the one extra that I will have to pay as I am having the driveway sealed.

Tru - not too hard to sleep in every morning. Just retire, or win the lottery. Time for a scholarship? I was up at the crack of dawn this morning ... and then went back to bed and got up and had breakfast at 10 AM. Luch at noon, took a ride from 1 to about 4 PM. Then read 3 papers and had to force myself to cook supper. I need a vacation.
Brent - I'd love to come for a visit. Actually, I'd love to take a few months to drive out to California and ride around the state for a month ... and then drive back. Maybe if I win the lottery.
Fred - I almost ran over a frog while I was down by the lake taking pictures this afternoon. I swerved a little to avoid it, all the while thinking that it might be you (or one of your instant offsprings).
Ron & Flip - if you can keep Pele on top of the Mt Shasta goddess, maybe they will have a kid. We could call it Hurricane. Thats the only thing missing out on the left coast.
Ron - I also saw that TV article in PC World. There is also an article about big TV's in this months Consumer Reports.
Kristen - I reopened the MG thread with a trivia question. Loved your pics and article on R&G.

Warren,
The more I read about those TVs the more confused I get. I would want one in the 37" to 40" size as my house is small, but there are just no really knowledgeable sales people around here where they sell them that can really tell me anything more than I can read. I would like to know more about the resolutions, does the picture quality fade after a few years, and which brands are really the better. I have to go in to COSTCO today to pick up my medicine and I think I will stop by Sears and look at the big bunch they have where you can see the pictures side by side. By the way it is 39 here this morning and supposed to rain Saturday through Monday.

You only live once, but Kristen, you live by the thirty minute mark.
When are you ever going to get time to yourself???
Great shots Warren! You must be bundled up to drive her around in 50 degree weather.

Tru,
No, I don't have cats except a bunch that belong to neighbors that roam around. What was that question about?

Ron, the LCD screens do not fade, they are very easy on your electric bill and produce little heat. Plasma still degrades over time, costs twelve times as much to operate and are a fair bit more expensive to purchase but the initial picture quality is outstanding.
If you are talking front or rear projection LCD screens then you can have loss of brightness over the years, and much more so in a front projector.
Those cats remind me of what happened to a friends cat. It used to drink out of the toilet all the time and she caught it drinking there and tried to scare it by flushing. When she flushed the cat got scared, lost it's footing and fell in, butt first, and got stuck. The suction was so bad she could not get the cat out by herself and had her dad help her. The cat never drank out of the toilet after that.
