Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving

We had a great day here at home. We made a small Turkey dinner and gave thanks for all the abundances in our lives.

Now let me be the first to say
I hope we all have a Very Merry Christmas this year.
I am looking forward to the season this year.

Lets hope that all people have a great holiday season and that things get better. I am sure they will but it will take time.

I just learned a few minute ago that some good friends of mine had lost their older son. They used to live just four houses down from me and I spent as much time there as I did here as his younger brother is into racing big time and had an offer to go into the NASCAR Busch series but because of the economy that fell through. Shane had Asthma and that is what he died of as they couldn't save him.

Well, it is getting down to the end of rifle season.

If I didn't know any better, all the deer are gone.

Book sales are down.

I'm taking the day off to rest and relax.

I just read the the sales around here were up by just .5% and that was not what they had expected. A lot of people in the stores according to the report but many didn't buy much, and not many bought high dollar items. But it will take time for the economy to get back to being well and so many people have left here that everything is down.

Joe,

He is better as the pain medication seems to have worked, but they still don't have the X-Ray machine fixed and Ken said he may have to buy a new one if they can't get the part for that one. That is ridiculous as it is only 5 years old and for what those things cost, they should have parts for them.

Tru,

I am glad that you got the plumbing finished. Won't be long until you start having some real cold weather back there I guess. Now take a break from all the work and enjoy yourself.

Tru,
My neighbor is a hunter as well. I bought him that reindeer head I mentioned. He put it in a wreath and hung it just behind a blow up decoration of a snowman with a shotgun.

Steve & Joe,

You guys are working to hard. The holidays are coming up so take a day or so off and rest and enjoy yourselves.

Frenchy got a birthday card yesterday from the girls up at my vets. They said they can't find one old enough to send me.

Tru,

I thought that I saw something about some snow back your way. Also saw this morning where Main I think it was had a huge storm and then a few hours later set a heat record by going up to 68°. The old record for yesterday was 55° I believe they said. That is some drastic change for just a few hours.

Weather here is about as usual. We are supposed to have rain Monday but the last two times they have forecast rain all it amounted to was a few light sprinkles. But it is definitely getting colder. It is on 32° right now.

Sunday, December 6, 2009: Dateline Chat Thread:

It is cold here but no snow. However I talked to a woman that I know in Ohio last night and it was 28° there and snowing. Rain is forecast for here tomorrow. It was 23° here this morning and is supposed to get up into the upper 40s or low 50s today.

Hope that all of you are staying warm.
