What excuse did he have on the Coupe this time? I was thinking about that over the weekend and almost emailed you to ask, but I decided not to as I didn't want to get you riled up about it. Guess AT&T did that for me.

Can't get it to run as strong as it should. Has been sick. Doesn't have time to work on it. And on and on. I am sick of the whole mess and am ready to call Tony and tell him to come get it. I don't need this crap with all of my other problems and it keeps my nerves upset continually.

It is actually raining this morning. Not a downpour but a good steady type rain that will at least water everything again. It is also supposed to rain tomorrow and then be sunny and into the 60s Thursday.

Thursday already and it is supposed to be in the low 60s today and sunny. If the lawns dry out enough I am going to have to start my mower and knock down the weeds. It is supposed to be nice through the weekend but that may or may not happen.

Ron, you do not have to rub it in.

We have a heat wave, I think it got up to 35.

Ran the Cobra last night, just got to have the roar.

Mike,

We actually had about 2 inches of rain and it was up to around 3 inches in the mountains. Now we are only about 40 inches below normal and would need another 140 inches to make up for the past 4 years of drought. I think next Summer is going to shock a lot of people around here that are used to using unlimited water.

Default Jaguar XJS owner needs help

Hi Ron, I don't own a Cobra, but they sure are beautiful cars. I own a British car as well and as such I have difficulty finding accessories since most auto accessories deal with American cars or Japanese imports. I am in Canada and it is all the more difficult to find accessories for my 1988 Jaguar XJS. I found a picture on the internet of a racing harness that I want to buy for my Jag and I was wondering if you knew where I could purchase such a seat belt. It is a 5 point, 3 inch wide belt. I want to install this in my car because as you know there is very little room in the cockpit of Jaguar XJS, I can lean forward in my seat belt and touch my forehead on the windshield and if I am ever in an accident the steering wheel is too close and so is the dash and windshield.
So since your forum deals with British cars I thought you may be able to offer me some advice, or would know where I could find the harness I have seen installed on a Cobra.
The website I found it on is www.cobraaccesories.com
but it switches me to another site.
I love British cars and the Cobra is no exception, they have much more style than the average american or japanese cars although they made some nice cars.

Well Tru, I guess that you have better weather forecasting than we do. Yesterday was supposed to be sunny and in the 60s and they kept saying that all day. Instead it was overcast. cool and damp, and in the low 50s and now they have decided it is going to rain the next three days. So far nothing but clouds this morning.

Donna,

Sorry that I missed your post. When I had my Cobra I got the 5 point seat belts from Simpsons and then got the Cobra tags from Cobra Restorers and had them sewn on the belts. I think since I quit racing they have gone more to the 6 point belts now to be legal for some of the tracks if not all, but the 5 point is plenty for street driving.

Ron, I will keep the snow that falls here, here.

Thanks for stopping by the blog.

Got a new tool the rattles grout from between the tiles. Does that sound like it will work? I'll try it later.

Tru,

I normally go read your Blog every day or two at the most. Like to see what you are doing. The new tool sounds as if it should work out well. As for the snow, you can send it to Joe. That way he won't have any excuse to want your Cobra for the Winter.

Nice and warm here in the 50s today. Supposed to be in the 60s tomorrow, but I will likely just be in bed holding my head.

Today is a friend's Birthday and we are going out to a Karaoke Bar tonight to celebrate. Him and his wife love going there so we are going. Do not worry I will not sing no matter how drunk I may be. No one likes the sound of cutting a cats tail off.

Joe,

I hope that your night went as well as you planned. It is raining lightly here this morning so I guess I will spend the day in the house. Again!!!!

Thanks Ron. Last night was a good time with friends. Met a few new ones and overall had a great time. No excessive drinking on my part and no singing either.

Joe,

You did great. Glad that you had a good time. It is raining here but not enough to do anything but be to wet to get outside. So I am getting tired of staying the house when we really aren't getting enough rain to help anything.

It has rained hard with some downpours mixed in the past day and night and is supposed to keep it up all week. If it does this will be more rain this week than we had all of last year. Maybe the drought is finally broken. Now if they could just get a good snow pack in the mountains to melt and run off next Summer.

Tru,

No snow, just a lot of badly needed rain. I think the snow level is still around 5,000 feet as it really isn't cold.
