Hey there Joe.
It can not believe it, the snow is almost gone!
I was able to walk in the back yard without snowshoes.
Well, I was asked what type of star wars creature I am to which I replied I was a Wookie. Now I am not so sure.
Has anyone talked to HLC lately?

I see her on Facebook a lot.
Before I cut my hair a lot of people used to call me a wookie.

Mike,
I had some kind of virus that I can't even spell let alone pronounce the name of that kept me in bed for several days and sick as the devil. I am just about over it now, but still feel very weak and am shaky as all get out. One day I was ok and the next morning I was really bad. My doctor put me on some kind of strong antibiotics that were as big as horse pills.
Now I am way behind in yard work and everything else. But I should be able to start catching up today as the weather is supposed to be in the mid to upper 70s for the rest of the week.

Thanks Mike,
It feels great to be able to sit up and do something. We have some wind right now, but if it quits I may see if I can start on some of the yard work that I am behind in. I am still taking some medicine for that virus, but it will be gone in another day.

Tru,
Yes, I have and I take it out about once every two months and charge the battery. I use it to convert slides to JPG pictures which I can then put on my other computer and use the photo program on. I don't like using it unless I have something hard to put it on as the sir intakes are on the bottom and anything like a cover gets sucked up and blocks them.

Yea, it is Friday and in the 70s and is supposed to reach the 80s this weekend. We have a breeze blowing, about 15/20 MPH, but it just makes it nice. I think we are getting near the time when some morning we will get up and it will be in the triple digits all of a sudden. They are saying this Summer will be hotter than last Summer. I hope they are wrong about that as last summer we had several days in the 115 to 118 degree range with a high heat index of 122.

Rain, Sleet and Snow mix forecasted for tomorrow. Guess I won't be doing the lawn after all.

I just came in from doing some raking along one of my fences and it is downright hot out in that sun.
Bobcat, I hope that you will be back driving your Cobra very soon. If I wasn't so far behind in everything I would get the 69 out and take it for a drive.

Wow, was yesterday a great day here. I got hot working in the yard and took the 69 for a drive. Went over to Finishline to see what they had in the shop and they were shooting TV commercials. I talked to Dennis the owner and they are going to have a car show around May 15th with all of the proceeds going to the St. Judes Childrens Hospital. Saw some great looking custom motorcycles they had there for the commercials and a couple of great cars including a 1954 Impala convertible. It is supposed to be in the 80s again today.

Sunday and it is supposed to be cooler here today. They even said we may have a slight chance of some light showers later in the day. I was supposed to drive up to a car show at a Senior Citizens Home yesterday but forgot about it until I got a call, and by then it was only 30 minutes until it was over. I have been thinking about having the Comet painted and cleaned up and putting it in a show one of these days as it gets a lot of attention.

We have 10" on snow on the ground.
I hope everyone is OK and staying warm.
It has been a snowy winter here in Texas this year. The most I have seen since I was a kid. Maybe hell is about to freeze over.

Steve,
It is good to see you posting again. We have had a near normal Winter for rain for the first time in 5 years, but no snow or flooding at all. They are now saying the lake won't fill completely up but will be the highest it has been in 5 years. That is good news for the farmer who had almost all of their water cut off last Summer.

It must be warming up back there if you took the Cobra out for a drive. It is supposed to be in the mid 70s to low 80s here the next few days. So I guess I will be doing weed eating and mowing again this week.

Well yesterday I got all of my weed eating and mowing done and it was hot and tiresome. This morning there is a pretty good breeze blowing and I see they are forecasting showers for Thursday. The lake is 28' from the top, but that last 28' will require a lot more water than what has filled it to this point as it is spreading down all of the canyons now. But that is the highest it had been in 5 years and looks better for the farmers and towns around here that were on water rationing the past couple of years.
