Steve, you need a phone that has voice activation. Then you could just tell it what to dial and not worry about the small numbers. I saw some girl at the bank the other day and she had a small metal pointer that she was using to dial the keys were so small.

I would like to have one that JUST makes calls without all of the other features to carry in the car in case I have an emergency and need to call but so far around here all I have found is ones that require at least a 1 year contract and do everything but make calls.

That would be pretty neat.Steve wouldn't even have to take the time to pick it back up off the ground then.

The funny thing is the one I recommended is fully featured, including Voice activation and dialing.

Hey guys, we are getting ready to introduce integrated Blue tooth.

It is a module that is installed by the map lights. syncs to your phone and lets you talk and drive without touching the phone.

I do not have an samples, but it seems cool.

Wouldn't you know it, the first real good day to drive the cobra and the pot holes are so big, I found a fisherman in one.

I suppose I am going to have to wait for the grader.

Ron, are you resting? How are you after the surgery?

Fred, Steve and Joe, how's the heat???

Really nice day here today. Not hot at all.

Too nice to be stuck in the office for sure.

Tru,

Everything went well and I have rested the last two days. It is nice here today after two days of rain and I have been walking around in the yard some but can't do any bending, lifting, or other work that will be strenuous for another couple of weeks. But if the weather forecast is correct we will have rain Friday and Saturday and that won't bother me as I will have a real excuse to be lazy. My neighbor took me in for my day after surgery check yesterday and the doctor told me the eye was really looking good. I have to go back one more time, next Thursday the 25th and if everything is good I think that will finish it for me except waiting until he gives me the ok to get my new glasses. For now I am using a 99 cent pair of reading glasses.

Steve,
Did you get any of the thunderstorms yesterday? We got hammered over here, but I heard Fort Worth didn't get much of anything.

Tru,
Blutooth is really a cool option. There are a lot of devices out there, but integrated that automatically mutes the radio is really nice. I have an after market device that we make at Samsung that will integrate with my stereo, but it is an external device that just mutes it. It has a separate Mic and speaker. I haven't installed it yet, but I need to.

Joe,

I watched the weather channel yesterday afternoon and it looked like you may have gotten some pretty big hail and other nasty weather. Hope that everything is ok and no damage. It was pretty nice here but is supposed to rain today and tomorrow, and it poured Wednesday when Rick took me to the eye doctor.

Ron,
The hail missed me by about a 1/4 mile at work and at home by a few miles.

I have come to the conclusion that it should be legal to choke the life out of some people or at least a "quota/year". Long story short, here at work it is apparently OK for someone to throw stuff at you, but not ok for you to get upset by it, storm out of the room to keep from punching him, and then walk away. An hour has passed and I am still just as pissed off.

Joe,

I think that happens in most jobs, especially if there is stress involved. Just don't let it get to you. I used to walk out for a couple of hours when I was working and got fed up with some of the local people's BS. One place I finally told them I would not come back in and work on the problem as long as one person that worked for that company was in the building. They sent him home for the rest of the day. A couple of times I really wanted to take a piece of re-bar and just bash in a persons head, but instead I just walked off for a while.

Steve,

Go right ahead and just be sure that you do it politically correctly. I think some person or people around here have taken it literally as almost every day they are finding bodies dumped somewhere. Gee, I can remember when it was front page news if anyone had a car broken into. Now they don't even bother to list all of the major crimes.

The plants are in the dirt!

It took near two days, but they are all in.

How are you all doing?

Tru,

Weird weather. People planted gardens a week ago when it was in the upper 80s and two days later it was 36° and is still cool an has been overcast with rain forecast for the last four days. No rain, but quite a bit cooler. I have to go for my last eye check this morning and it is very overcast but no rain. A couple of people said their tomatoes and other things they planted weren't doing well at all. They need some sun.

We have already harvested some onions & radishes. The taters are growing like weeds and the corn is looking really peeked.

We planted the corn for the skinny squirrels around here. There are tons of squirrels but nothing for them to eat since the development took out their homes

Other than that busy as can be myself. I have not been this busy in over a decade! Sorry for not coming around here as much any more but if I have learned anything it is to work... when there is work to be had.

Steve,

We have lots of squirrels around here too. I am glad that your work is going well. So far Shasta County is still having a very hard time as we still have the highest unemployment rate in the state and another business closed last week laying off 65 people. It seems every time some place hires a few people another closes and lays off twice as many. Also we still have more foreclosures than sales, but it is starting to drop some.
