What was interesting was over course of a year the same guys hit 4 out of 7 houses on 1 block. The other 3 were registered gun owners, the 4 hit were not.

Joe,

Around here no honest person is supposed to protect themselves. They just arrested another of the rapists they had in prison and let out and he has now raped and murdered a woman. This within 1 week of being released. And they are laying off more and more of the police here. The police chief even retired as he felt he could no longer do the job with the few patrolmen left.

I know that it is tomorrow but I want to wish all of you a great and safe Memorial Day. Also to all the veterans, living and passed on, thanks for what you have did for the rest of us and our country. You will always be heroes!

Wow, did it get hot quickly here yesterday afternoon. It had been overcast and somewhat cool all morning. Then about 1 o'clock the sun came through and in about 30 minutes it was on 90. I had to get up at midnight and turn my air conditioner on as it stayed hot and humid all night. I don't know what today will be like but it is supposed to reach the lower to mid 90s.

I checked mid afternoon and the temp said 98 here. It may have hit 100, but I am not sure. Today is supposed to be the same and at 8:45 it is already 75°.

We had some friends over for dinner last night and it was a good night. We made spaghetti with hamburger and sausage. It was really good. Afterward we watched a movie. It was a fun night, but when everyone left, Trina asked Stephanie if she wanted to finish her wine, and she said no, her stomach is bothering her. Found out this morning that Brandon had to rush her into the hospital for acute pain. Dr said she thinks it is viral, but still waiting on tests. She is drugged up now.

Darn Joe,

That is to bad. I hope that it is nothing serious. Our weather is playing games. It was supposed to rain yesterday but instead was just humid and overcast. Now they say rain Wednesday and Thursday. We were supposed to be in the 90s those two days according to yesterdays forecast.

Ok, I have my weeds cut so now it can start raining. They are tearing down the old dope houses about 1/2 block down the street today and what a mess. That place was confiscated about 6 years ago by the DEA, and has just set as the houses were condemed and the guy that bought the place has had to go through all kinds of hassles to get permits for getting rid of the junk as it is soaked with the meth fumes. He told me this morning he is just going to have the whole place cleaned up and sell it to some of the out of state people that think they can become millionaires by raising dope around here. He isn't far off with that last remark either.

Fred,

Why is that beach so unpopulated? Wouldn't they let you in to get any good pictures?

I see spring is in the air for Fred.

Don't we go through this every year?

I don't think we are going to have any Spring here. It is raining some today and is supposed to over the weekend. We keep going from the high 80s and low 90s to the upper 30s and mid 40s every few days. We should be having temperatures in the 100 to 105 range by now. This weather is weird.

Another overcast, wet, miserable day here. This is getting ridiculous. I can't adapt to these overnight weather changes any more.

Just received this on how to plug the Gulf Oil Leak.

Mike,

Yea, some comic had a good idea.I think it came from the original shape of the dome they were going to try and use but because of the jagged edges had to enlarge it more. But at least it is catching some of the oil. And now I see they are saying that oil will most likely continue to leak until Next Summer, 2011.

It is starting to get hot here now. In the upper 80s and humid as all get out. I just mowed my weeds and was sweating like crazy. Fortunately there is a light breeze blowing and that helped. If the forecast is correct, we only have hotter temperatures to look forward to.

I am of the opinion, BP execs need to be in jail and BP needs to provide free gas to the people of the US for as long as it take to clean up the oil mess.
