We are having a cold wave. It is breezy and only supposed to get into the mid 80s today with very little humidity. I guess I will have to go drag out one of my old jackets.

Well the weather here is really nice now. In the upper 80s and not very humid. Now this is the way I wish the whole Summer would stay.

I went into my regular eye doctor and now have my new glasses ordered. They were all amazed at how blue my eyes are when they saw them without the cataracts. I have 20/20 distance vision now and need glasses for reading and small print, but not nearly as strong as the old ones are. I will be happy when the new ones get here in about two weeks.

Meanwhile I have been having a lot of work done on the house that I have put off forever. That should be finished this afternoon and then I will have a few days of free time. I may even go over to the Finish Line car show next month if they have one.

Thanks Mike, it is nice to see well again. My new reading glasses should be here next week.

How is the weather down there? We are actually having below normal temperatures but the humidity gets a little worse every Summer the past few years. Still not bad but people are starting to feel it.

Doesn't sound to bad. It is somewhat overcast and humid here this morning and is supposed to only get up to 89 this afternoon. Not much going on around here right now.

Hi Liisa,

How is the boys baseball going? It was hot and humid here all night last night, but the temperature was just 68° degrees. That was as cool as it got. Today is supposed to be back into the 90s. I hope that you had a great day also.

I just saw this and thought it might be of interest to some of the car people. From the sound of the article it sounds as if there may be more brands discontinued in the future.

I have been busy!

I am in the home stretch of the second book.

As mother nature would have it, I have not been able to take the cobra out for some time as it is raining or going to rain just about every day.

I am working the farm issues as they come, but I surrendered to the garage door guy today. I am just too darn tired to add a new garage door.

Best to all of you fathers who were recognized this past weekend. my son made breakfast and my mate made pheasant soup.

Tru,

I am finally through with the doctors and having work done on the house. I had the underneath of the house sprayed with that foam to stop and kill any fungus or mold. Then I had to have one post replaced and the big beam out front had to be cut and have the rot taken out. I am really glad this last four months is over with as now maybe things can get back to normal more or less.

I have finally come to the conclusion that anytime that I think things are back to normal and under control....
it just means I've overlooked something.

I think Fred is correct.

I always have something and nothing is normal.

I guess what is normal has different meanings for different people. Normal for me is being able to remember all of the things that I have to do and have let go.

OMG! I hadn't taken the Cobra out for three weeks...what a rush!

You have got to love some goof-ball in his hot rod tooling up next. It would be good if it was a classic, but a new challenger????????

What is up with that?

Don't laugh to hard. Some of those new Challengers and other new cars can really run well. But they still don't have the loud, obnoxious noise of a Cobra under power.
