Monday after the Dream Cruise. I did not attend...in the rain.

But, I did get things fixed around the farm.

Just been very very busy, and it feels good the phone is ringing. Especially in this stinky market.

I have also been rebuilding the golfcart.

This time of year I don't get as much time to get on and between all the sites I visit, I tend to read more than I post. I am also spending a lot of time on the S197 Mustang forum learning a lot of particulars about the new Mustang and what things I can do to really wake it up.

Summer is usually a time of outdoor activities.

But, with the heat, I can see how some people are inside.

Cheers!

I hear you Tru. We normally have a lot more BBQs than we have had this year because of the heat.

Same here. Well, actually I have been doing the 14 hours per day thingie for some time now.

But, we do get a chance once-in-a-while.

it was 75 last night...and it rained. That is cool jungle weather.

Wow that front that came through the other day with the rain really made it nice here. It is been cool and we sat outside with the neighbors last night and about 9-10, some of the ladies began getting jackets.

Rain again all week for us. Flash flood warnings, but it looks like Tropical Storm Hermine will miss us to the west. Rain will be good though.

So much for missing us though. DFW is getting a direct hit from the storm. Hail out near me, but it looks like the hail at least is missing me. My house is currently getting hit by the cell they said has the greatest chance for producing Tornadoes. Currently in a Tornado watch.

I guess I should qualify that DFW was getting a large tornado producing thunderstorm out of Hermine, but we did not get near what down south got.

Gee Fred, wasn't that all of Texas?

Very dry last part of summer. I have been able to get a few drives in.

I think we lucked out. That was only about 1/2 of the Texas counties.

I got 6" of rain yesterday and the tornado that was on the west side of downtown Dallas heading my way lifted 2 miles SW of here.It came back down NE of my home.
Pretty strange looking watching it go overhead.

Glad it missed you Fred. The east side one was about 10 miles from me.

Fred, did you get any pics of the tornado cloud as it passed overhead?

No,I sure wish I had of.That would have been one cool video.

I really didn't even think about that until afterwards when the excitement had come down. Hindsight is wonderful.

It was an amazing sight though. It had lifted but was still protruding down from the clouds some and still had all of it rotation.

I've seen several here in Texas and one was on the ground about one block from me. Never seen one from that angle before !

We got a ton of rain here. I don't know how much exactly but it was a lot.

Now, the heat is back on and the humidity is horrible. I am surprised it isn't still raining.

We have many humming birds that showed up around the house and in the flower beds. I bet there are twenty or more that all show up at the same time. They have been here for about a month now. It is so funny to watch them play. Their flight abilities are incredible!
