Yea we were very lucky that no one got hurt or even killed in our community. I did hear an elderly dog got hit and lived but they later had to put him down. He had arthritis real bad and could not move fast enough to get on the porch from the back yard. The owner had let him out of the house to do his business and he could not make it back in time. But we were real lucky no kids got hurt.

Our neighbor got his DISH beat up really bad. He jokingly says now he gets the "alien Channel" because of it. LOL

As far as the car goes it will work out because I am not going to let them total it. I have learned a lot from being an Insurance Agent myself and I know how the game is played from the inside.

Steve,
I have a Dish Network HD Dish without the LNBs if he needs it. Give me an excuse to get it out of my back yard.

We have been lucky to date on the storms. We have a 2 story house next to us that has blocked most of it from hitting us.

Joe,
I will ask him about it when I see him this evening. I would think that DISH would replace it.. wouldn't they?

Hmm, I guess the 'Quick reply' button has been put out of commission. At least it doesn't work for me any longer.

Wonder what I did to piss off the moderators this time. LOL

I don't know if it would be a charge or not. I switched to Direct TV last year and still have the old dish. Let me know and if he wants it cool, if not cool.

Quick reply is still there for me. Maybe clear out your cookies and re-log in?

Thumbs up

Will do Joe, Thanks for the offer. I don't know if his contract with DISH would cover it or his homeowners insurance would. I didn't think you actually owned those things. I thought you had to rent them each month like the boxes.

Nope, maybe I need to check my firewall. A lot of our server software for our site Must Sell Right Now has just been updated.

Maybe it is something in there. I will check that in a little bit.

Dish makes you return the LNBs but not the dish. The dish itself is costs more to ship back than it costs to replace so they don't bother with it. They let you worry about disposing of it. The LNBs are what actually receive and decode the signal for the boxes. You just unscrew them from the end and put them in the return box with the receivers.

Two pages of a topic I do not like...dentists.

There is always a point in the conversation with the dentist where you know he is going to want to drill. Yes, dentists are actually people that wanted to be in the oil business. They always wanted to drill. And, your teeth are prime for drilling.

"You have the beginning of a cavity here and there is a depression here," he says. In your mind you know what he is going to say next, "we can drill those out and fill them your next appointment -- next week.

Now when is your next appointment next week...unless he is going to drill.

In the back of his mind he calculating where your money is going to be spent and whether he can bid on that golf club me has on his "watch list" on ebay.

Yup, just venturing by can be depressing as you all are discussing the dentist.

I see. I did not know that. I have never had to return anything to a satellite provider. I have always had cable.

Tru,
You should ask him if he would rather you save him the trouble and just give him the money. LOL. Or ask him if you gave him $100.00 cash right now... would the tooth still need to be drilled?

If it was my dentist, she would say thank you for the $100, and yes, it still needs drilled. That will still cost $xxx

If it was Ron's teeth,I'd drill all his teeth for free.

Heck I'd even yank them for free after drilling them all.

Fred,

Thanks for the offer. I won't have to have any drilling done next week. Just a little cleanig with the brushing tool or whateverhe uses on the drill to make sure the place he is going to fix is clean and then he will put the filler over the little hole. And it will still cost as much as if he had did all of the other work. And I still don't want to go.

Ron

You used to tell me you would do it for half of what it costs me here. Free goes along ways now. I can even get free marijuana plants to start my garden with.

Fred,

You did a great job polishing that tooth. Did you set up your practice in Walmarts?
