Steve,
We had an unexpected thunderstorm a couple of nights ago. Not a lot of rain but at least it got some of the dust out of the air. Also started several small fires but they got right on them and got them out before they could really take off. Now we are supposed to have a few days of cooler weather.

We have got a little rain both yesterday and today. Not enough to do much good for the trees but it sure cooled down the concrete a lot.
How is everyone doing? I will be 50 on Monday. Just saying that makes me feel old.

Steve,
You will be fine at 50. I believe you are only as old as you feel.

That's what really old folks are told to comfort them in their advancing (read real old) years.

Fred,
Are you talking about me again? If I was just 50 I would be a kid again.

Yea, I will be fine. I am not having problems with being 50 at all.
I sure wish this market would turn around though.

I was so happy yesterday. It felt weird that my work day was only 10 hours. Thankfully that project is now running and just waiting for test results. Going to be another busy period in about a month I am sure, but at least I get a bit of a break.

I finally made it out to a Cobra Club meeting again after about a year yesterday. It was a good time and I am glad I got out.

Joe,
I looked at a 2012 Shelby GT-500 while I was down at Corning that only had the 500 horse engine in it. Very nice but it had one thing I didn't like. It was solid black inside and out. Up here even with air that black would be a rolling oven. I believe a person could get it out the door fro around $59K.

Same here on the rolling oven. I will get in a Cobra one day though, oven or not.

Well hello.
The nights are in the 40s now and the mornings reflect that, so no more drives to work.
I am going to have to redesign the throttle. Maybe I will go to the rod method.
What are you guys using for throttle connections?

Tru,
My 69 came with an adjustable throttle rod connection set up. That way if I change carbs and the other one doesn't have exactly the same opening travel and such, I can adjust the rods to fit it. But I have never adjusted them since I got the car.
