Well you both have great places and I know that it is nice to get out of the rat race and enjoy just working on them. The weather out here has changed so much it is not even fun any more to go hiking in the mountains and canyons which I used to really enjoy. Especially getting miles back in some canyon and finding an old gold mine that had been forgotten about. I wish I could afford to buy back my Grandfather's old farm in Arkansas. And when I was a kid and we lived on it between Dad's jobs I couldn't wait to get away from that work.

Joe,
The storm tracking maps seem show that the tornado and super cell went north of y'all.

Hope that is correct. The hail was pretty widely spaced. Get any of that ?

We were spared any hail and damage. The tornadoes were about 30 minutes north of us. I was worried as it tracked down 380 but they turned north as they got past Farmersville. We are just about 10 miles south of 380. We got some heavy rains and wind but none of the severe weather.

Good to hear from you again. I hope that things are going well. Joe and Fred are becoming quite the ranchers aren't they.

Tru, the gate looks more formidable than it is. It is the standard 12' gate from tractor supply co. Weighs about 75 lbs. Good enough for a farm driveway gate.

Participating in a gun buy-back program because you think that criminals
have too many guns is like
Having yourself castrated because you think your neighbors have too many
kids.

Funny how Texas has it's own power grid.

Joe,

Soon there won't be enough water for all of the Fruits and Nuts out here. We want to thank you for the plug for them moving to Texas.

Joe,

Many of the ones that can still afford to move are leaving or have left from up here for other states. This state has gone insane with it's stupid laws that just contradict each other.

Yeah, I know. Many of them that are coming here are trying to pass the same laws here. I have heard more than once, "Well in California, we passed xxxxxx" I always ask back, why did you leave if you loved it so much? Always get the "Cost too much to live there". So I ask why it cost so much and the answer usually is taxes and cost of goods. I ask what causes the goods to cost so much and we always get back to taxes. So since taxes is the problem what causes taxes to be so high? Of course, it is about then that they realize that the laws that they want to pass here like in Cali are what caused Cali to be too expensive. So I will either get an agreement or they will get mad and have some snide comment for me. Sometimes it can be fun using facts against a liberal.

Well with any luck I will see what I can do to speed up the exodus from here and I will recommend Texas so they will feel right at home . It is amazing at the empty houses around here that are just rotting away and they won't lower the prices at all so the younger people just starting can afford to buy one.

Fred, Joe, & Tru,

I hope that you had a great Easter yesterday. It was warm here but with just a slight breeze and they yellow pollen was so think you could see it in the air. I had to stay inside most of the day because of my sinuses so I worked on a computer problem that suddenly showed up and finally pinned it down to what was causing it. Now to figure out what to do about it.

Another weather change,

We have gone from misty, damp, windy, and cold into the 90s now this week. Darn I hate these radical weather changes. But I don't think I am going to have to worry about them to much longer.
