Joe,
Here is something else that might interest you. I got it last month.
Wild Turkey feeder, holds 200 lbs. of seed.
The deer have figured out how to bump the legs to get it to drop some seed.
I can hear the turkeys chatting it up every morning and late afternoon.

Nice. Only thing that I can shoot from my backyard is dove. Not enough land to hunt anything else.

As far as hogs go,we see the tracks and the fence damage but haven't seen any up close and personal yet.

Fred,
That is really nice. It must be relaxing to be able to sit back and watch the wild life in the evening. Makes me wish even more that I could go back to my early years seeing what you and Joe have did.

Kristen,
It is nice to hear from you again. I hope all is well with you and your family. So you are selling the 500. Are you getting out of fast cars completely?

Hey Kristen. Seeing you sell your GT500 makes me miss my old Mustang. Still have the car dream, but it is on hold for now. Time will be right some day.

hi, Joe. it all came about at the right time, right place. Now I'm just moving on. Loved it, but on to other things. My youngest is starting high school, next girl will be a senior. boys are in and out and trying hard to grow up. I'm ready to chill out a bit but I'm sure grands will be along eventually. yikes! but not yet. lol
my best to you all!

Kind of the same here. Derek is in the Air Force and we now live on a small hobby farm outside of Caddo Mills. We pretty much are putting everything into that and trying to make it pay for itself. Not there by a long shot, but it is sure a sense of accomplishment when you see what we took in less than a year and made it what it is.

Joe & Fred,
How is your weather there? We are in triple digits and it is getting more humid here. Also fire danger is at it's highest level and was most of what was supposed to be our Winter. We have had a few small fires, but I fear when the really hot weather arrives it will be bad. An old couple here received a fine for using to much water and I don't see how they could have as they don't do any watering or anything.

Upper 90s and about 50% humidity for the last few days. About to cracked that 100 degree mark before long I think. This year has been better than past years so far.

Texas average Summer temperature (June, July, August) 81.1 F degrees, warmest U.S. summer state.
Average high will be about 95 but we can many days in a row at 100-106 range.
Over 100 days >90.
Y'all have the record high at 134 !

Fred,
We don't have long spells of that high heat thank goodness. It will get up to around 117 for a few days most likely. The coolest it got here at my house last night was 78 degrees and it was on 83 at 2 AM. That blasted wind is blowing again this morning and the fire danger is really high.

Over 100 days >90.
After rereading that,it could be clearer.........
We have 100-110 days a year with a temp greater than 90 degrees.
Which covers June-Aug with overlap on each end,95 average high thru the Summer months. Less than 90 is a cool Spring day.

That is kind of expensive but it would be fun for a one time thing. I hope I can catch the TV show out here.

You are paying for the helicopter costs plus the experience of the aerial hunt.
Fred,
First song on the video is my theme song. I love that damn song and always have. Captures my attitude perfectly.
