Finally got around to posting the video of my Iron Mountain Drive. Tru, if you would get your GT-40 finished you could come out here and go for drives. I have a friend who should have his done soon next year. He wants it ready for the big April car show.

I'm just taking my time.

Everytime I design something in, I have to take it out.

Nice video of your Daytona.

Some Western scenery. I have been on several of these roads but not all of them.

I hope that you all had a great Thanksgiving and are still with us. Not a lot went on around here as it was sort of muted.

Not sure where to put this but it is going to ruin a lot of older cars if those fools go ahead with it. California is all for it as it will get rid of a lot of older cars, plus the politicians that own stock in corn producing farms will get even richer.

Well it is finally raining here and the kind that we need for now. Not a lot, but slow and steady so it doesn't just run off and also isn't causing slides in the mountains where the fires left the ground bare. The temperatures have dropped a lot and it is just in the 50s now but that isn't bad at all compared to some that I am seeing.

Took the Cobra out for a fast drive and to get the fluids all warmed up a couple of weeks ago.

Took a drive Sunday and stopped at the Auditorium where the big April car show is held. This picture is just a tiny part of the parking area. They only allow 2,000 cars now.

Default 67 or 68 Shelby Cobra sold in GA 1982-1988

My father passed away in 2013. He was a Ford dealer in Manchester, GA from about 1958-1983. He sold his 67 or 68 Shelby from our home in Pine Mountain/Hamilton GA while i was away at college for about $22K, sometime between 1982 and 1988. He could not find the VIN number for me to perform an online search for the car. It is, or was, white with a wide black stripe down the middle. I recall the seat belts were the kind that you pull over both shoulders, almost like a child's car seat. Can anyone suggest a way for me to search with only the information I have here?

Reames,

I am sorry to hear about your Father's passing. About the only way to try to trace the car without the VIN would be if you remember the license plate number that your Father had on it. You may be able to get a start from there as the DMV should have a record of who registered it after the sale.

Hey there

Just dropping by to say hi.

GT40 is in paint or it will be.

Other than that, I am alive and well.

I see Ron is still on after all this time.

Got to go.

Tru,

Good to hear from you and that the GT-40 is nearing completion. You need to post some pictures of it when you get it out of paint.

By all means.

I hope to be out and about in the spring.

Cobra needs a little attention, but over all I hope to do little this year on cars.

Tru,

I got to take the 69 out for a drive yesterday for the first time in almost three months. We have had nothing but rain and more rain and wind. Now it is supposed to start raining again today and go right on through next weekend so I don't know when I will be able to get the Coupe out for a drive. I saw several nice cars out yesterday as that was the first day we have had in a couple of months that it wasn't raining, cold and windy, of just a heavy mist.

And to remember just a few years ago the lake was almost dry.

Well now it is running over the top of the drum gates. But they have let enough out the past week to get it back down a little and we haven't had any hard rain for a day or so. But it is windy and cold. It is 27 degrees this morning.

Howdy all, just stopping in to say "hey". Tru, a GT-40 eh? Nice.

Don't get on very often any more with kids and all that entails with events and activities and general goofing around.

The kids are getting big. Less than a year and Emily will have her license. Last week at a car show Jacob was discussing fire suppression and the finer points of driving a winged sprint with the crew chief. They must have talked several minutes about karts being similar and how sideways is the only way to go fast on dirt. He is 7.
