Earl, thanks for the reality check -- I'll review your pix when I dream about doing a scratch build -- lots of work. Street Beasts were at the Kit car nationals at Carlyle last year -- I was impressed with the strength of the bodies.

Earl can get R done quicker, all he needs to do is follow the red truck and wait for a part to fall off.
Well, I don't watch a lot of TV so this cable guy must be on TV.
Hi Kristen.
Well, the older son is home for a week. I have a full house.

Dave they came and looked at it at my house as well. They tried to buy it from me when they came out.
They mostly wanted to check it for level and square, and plum. No big deal. make sure before you let them come out that it is a curtousy visit or they will send you a bill for $150.00
If you need anything for it buy it from Rotary directly. I had to replace the solonoid as it got damaged when the guy moved it to my house. They are reasonable on the prices for their parts, if you should need anything.
Well looks like this is it for me for a couple of weeks. The truck is almost loaded and we are leaving to the sunshine state on Monday. I will give eveyone a shout if I can get access to a PC in the interim.
Watch my site for me, please.
Thanks everyone.
I am gone.............. temporarily, your not that lucky!

Steve,
If you bought the Rotary Lift, why would they send two guys to your house and try to buy it back? I could understand them maybe wanting to make sure it was installed correctly.
Have a great trip and try to not break down along the way. It costs a lot to have a truck full of stuff towed to Florida.

Well, they are both clean. Went to the High school play, "Grease".
Erich played in the "pit". A bit of an honor considering only six people were selected to be in the PIT.
So, I think we be looking at setting the lift tomorrow. It was 45 today, a regular heat wave, but it is 15 outside right now.
So, Yeah, it might have taken two or three weeks to get it clean, but you realize the water freezes before you can rinse off the soap. Cold is cold.

you are dealing with frozen water. ugh.
Today, the Dallas group met, and while I wore a jacket and my safari hat to the meet, on the way home it was 'warm', so I shed the jacket and hat! What a beautiful day! a bit breezy, but not that gale force we had last week or two.
will post pics tomorrow. I'm beat. (my scrapbook group met last night til after 1!)
gotta go

The lift is in position!
What a leaky mess.
I found out they don't sell 3/4 x 4.5 lag bolts at the local "DO IT" hardware store.
Monday will have to be a day of purchases.

Tru,
You may need one of these. Wonder why you never see one anywhere that women are working?

Well, my wife was out there with us pushing and shoving to get the posts in position.
I will run to Fastenal this afternoon and get the bolts, washers and lead inserts.
Then we get to run the electrical.

Tru,
Did you read the small print on the bottom of the sign? Are you going to wire it permanently or on a plug in?

I can't read the bottom of the sign.
I am going to wire it by plug, but I am going to use Code, not that "burn the barn down" plug that is on it right now.
So it is official, Steve has moved?????
STEVE!?!?!?!?!?!? Where the heck are ya?
I think I will put a car on it when I'm done and take a picture.

Tru,
With the new post set up, you need to click on the pictures to make them larger. Just click on the sign and it will get bigger.
Steve is in the process of goiing to Florida right now. I believe it was yesterday that he posted he had the truck loaded and they were getting ready to start. You should loan him your truck.
I think that getting rid of the plug that was on it is a good idea as it just don't sound right from your description of it. And yes, we must see a picture of it one of these days.

"Brokeback Mountain"
I haven't seen this movie and never will.
There is something about it though I don't understand.
First they are sheepherders,not cowboys.
With all those sheep why are they "bothering" each other ???

Fred,
You worry to much. If you like the sheep better, by all means ignore the men. I didn't even watch the adds for it as I wasn't interested in either.
Ron Perhaps the following will help your stressed out feelings.

Morning cowboys. Oooppps...sheephearders.
This mounting of the lift is going to take forever. I should never had poured 6000 PSI concrete.

Tru,
You wouldn't call that over build would you? Just get a bigger drill and have at it. Or do like Steve and use Crazy Glue to fasten the lift to the floor.
